SOURCE: My dealer installed Saab CD changer is not functioning properly.

The unit is having internal firmware problem. It may be off track or have a bad capacitor. You will need to dismantle to cover to receive your cd tray. There may also be a problem with the lens.

SOURCE: Honda CRV CD Changer Magazine in permanent eject

One of the advantages of buying a car new is the warranty and the service. Even if you are putting it in wrong it is part of the service to have them show you how to use it. There should be a section in the manual that will instruct you as well.

Read the manual and if you still can't get it to work, take it back and see what they find. The reason warranties are issued is because not everything works just because it is new.

Hope this helps

My 04 yukon cd changer won't eject the cd. any advise?

if you push the eject cd magazine button on the changer does it sound like it's trying to eject it? if it doesn't you'll need to replace the changer. if it does, then you've got a stuck cd magazine tray. it sounds weird, but when i was working on land rovers this happened all the time on the full size range rovers. what we did was push the magazine eject button on the changer to eject the cd magazine and sort of slap the changer around a bit. 90% of the time it worked. the other times, we'd go in with a 90 degree pick and try to push the stuck cd tray back into the magazine (while it was still in the changer) while pushing the eject magazine button on the changer. and you'll need to replace the cd magazine. if it happens again, you'll need to replace the entire changer.

CDAC ER2

CDAC ER2 usually means a cd is stuck, not reading properly, or that the magazine is stuck or broken. take out all cds and try it with a known good cd (one that played ok in the past). if that doesn't work, try unplugging the unit and plugging it back in.

if it still doesnt work, take the magazine out, power it up so that you get the "no mag" error, then insert the magazine with no discs and see if it still errors out with ER2. if it does, then the magazine is bad, or the changer is bad..

if it works, then try the known good disc again, if it works now, your magazine was probably stuck, or one of the other cd's isn't liked by the changer.

hope this helps,
trin
