SOURCE: The Belt of my craftsman 3x21 sander slowly moves off track.

could be a couple things, first are you using directional belts and are they on correctly and look at the front roller to make sure it rotates freely, also look aat yoke for being bent and the tensionins mechanism moves freely. Let me know if you need more assistance

I need an owners manual for a Craftsman 6" x 9" Belt & Disc bench top electric sander. Where may I go to "download" a copy. The specs for this sander are : 6" x 48" belt at 2700 FPM ...

Go to: Searspartsdirect.com and enter the full code number minus the decimal point. That will take you to a series of drawings with parts lists. Hopefully, they still list the owner's manual. Good luck!

I have and OLD bench 1

The local hardware store has brushes in all different sizes in a box, next to the switches, fuses, plugs, cords, tool type stuff. They are standard sizes, should be able to find them no problem. Hope this helps.

Installing belt on sander

Remove table assembly.
Remove pointer and then slide cover up and out from dust reflector.
Release belt tension by pushing tension lever toward idler drums.
Note: there may be an arrow on the inside of the belt.
The arrow should point in the direction of belt travel to ensure that the splice in the belt will not come apart.
Slide new belt over the drive and idler drums; center belt on drums.
Push tension lever towards drive drum to tension belt.
Hope this helps.
