WHEN POWER ON CHAIR SPEED LIGHT BLINK .BOTH BATTERY WAS REPLACE AND JOYSTICK.SAME PROBLEM

The battery meter lights will flash a flash code when something is wrong. If the lights are flashing the same number of lights each time. get that number it is a flash code. if the lights are cascading up and down that indicates that the Joystick is locked. unlock by turning on the joystick and pushing the horn button twice within 10 sec. of turning on. Or push on button and hold the joystick gimbal forward until it beeps then back until it beeps. This should have it unlocked, if not Pride Jazzy Tech 800-800-8586

Speed lights flash alltogether at the same time chair will not run

The chair is in sleep mode or lockout mode. To unlock-- turn on the chair, immediately push the joystick straight forward until you hear a beep then push it straight back until you hear another beep then release to center. This should unlock the joystick. Turn the chair off then back on and you should get normal operation Hope this helps

Jet 3 flashes "code 7".

The VSI joystick controller of the Jet 3 with a flash code of 7 LEDs flashing on the battery condition display indicates a possible joystick fault.
The most likely problem is with the joystick gimble. You can also get a 7 bar flash if the joystick is out of the neutral position at start-up.
Run the joystick in a circle and back and forth feeling for any sticky or broken/dead spots. Check to see if the spring and gimble come back to center when you release it. Turn off the VSI and try centering the joystick. Turn the VSI back on and see if you can get the fault to clear.
The only recourse is to have the unit rebuilt or replaced . A rebuilt VSI will run about $500 and a new one about $1600. For this reason it is best to check with your insurance before performing the work to see if its a covered item. Hope this helps

My father has i believe a jazzy 6 wheelchair and the lights keep flashing. There is no sequence of flashing, just flashes away without a break. The horn works, that's all. Wheelchair will not move at...

Bobby check that the chair is not in freewheel first (you can push it and it will roll freely). If it is not in freewheel, try this--- turn the power off on the joystick then turn it back on and immediately push the jostick full forward until you hear a beep then immediately pull the joystick to the rear until you hear a beep then let it go to the center position. If the chair is in lockout it should take it out and the chair will operate fine. Now if that doesn't work I dunno. No seriously a continuous flash as you describe is the only indication of a lockout that I know of for the Pride chairs. If Medicare bought dad's chair then you can get a service company to fix it for him and they will bill Medicare for the cost of repair. Medicare will pay 80% of the costs and if Dad has a supplemental policy it will cover the 20%. Contact Repair Xpress @ 1-877-581-3733 or Roadrunner Mobility @ 1-800-467-2668 Hope this helps

When switched on power light flashes.

How many flashes? Count number of flashes should be a slight pause then flashes the same number of times . Your manual will give you flash codes and you can determine what the problem is. If all the lights are flashing and there is no pause the chair could be in "lockout" Your manual should tell you how to get the chair out of lockout I think that Pride uses the joystick to get it out of this mode.. Turn the chair on move the joystick forward till you hear a beep then move the joystick to the rear until you hear another beep release the joystick and the lights should quit flashing Hope this helps

Pride 1121 wheelchair led 8bars flashing wont unlock batteries new ,the connections good. had just unloaded it ran it over a bump then it started flashing. Controler is bad or what? contiuity from motors...

trent618,

The 8 bar flashing lights indicate a possible control system trip. Without a serial Number or knowing which controller system you powerchair has, I will cover the common used controller systems for the model of powerchair you have.

If you have the Pilot or VSI control system the control system detects an internal problem within its self or the joystick, and I've seen it a couple of times when both the controller and joystick have an internal problem.

If you have the Pilot + or VR2 control system the control system detects an internal problem within its self and/or the joystick and/or a communications error between the joystick and controller. I've seen it once when the controller, joystick and cable between the joystick and controller being deffective. Due to the flashing lights and you have a Pilot + or VR2 there is a good chance the problem is the cable between the joystick and controller.

The possible solutions and repairs above will require the need for an authorized person to perform the tasks. Give the company that sold you the power chair a call, or anyone or different company which works on power mobility products as the part(s) needed will only be sold to authorized deallers or service providers.

Hope this helps, if so, please respond to this solution which will help others who may have the same question.
Thank you for using FixYa.

Hello have a HS2800 the two yellow lights are flashing....and I found a wire with a fuse in it and can find where it plugs into...can anyone help

The wire inside the cowl is an auxillary power supply connection for attaching a lighting system to the powerchair. It has 24VDC available, and it does not connect to anything for normal operation of the chair.

The lights flashing constantly indicate that the joystick is out of position, or you are in neutral, or the chair is plugged into the charger, if it is a constant flash. Take it off the charger, place it in drive and keep hands off the joystick and restart. If it is still flashing, try a restart, then immediately press the "horn" button twice. If still no-go, you'll need a tech to look at it as the controller may be bad, or the joystick.

If it is a patterned flash, like 4 times flash, pause, repeat, then the onboard computer has found a fault. The number of flashes specify the fault, (right motor, left brake, etc.) go to the CTM website here to download the owners manual which show the flash codes. http://www.ctmhomecare.com/About_Us/index.asp?tStyle=01
