If we are talking about a hand held leaf blower. The fuel leaking from the carb is likely caused by a stiff metering diaghram holding the needle open. Rebuild your carb ( I suggest also replacing the fuel lines and primer bulb while you are at it) and double check the lever adjustment.

SOURCE: My Homelite backpack leaf blower runs until tank is 1/2 full

I believe you to be correct in your diagnosis.
1) remove the fuel tank
*this will give you an idea of how lines are routed and fitted into tank
2) install a new hose through to tank fitting and make sure to retrieve the old hose & filter inside the tank, so that you can attach the filter to the new hose. The filter is weighted so that it falls to the lowest point to pick up fuel.

SOURCE: homelite ut o8107 blower 25cc will only idle

Hello:

Have you Removed the Muffler and Checked the Exhaust Port and Muffler for Carbin Restriction?
Remove the Muffler and Start the Unit. If the Operates Correctly, then the Spark Arrestor Screen is Clogged and the Muffler/Screen Requires Replacing.
Make Sure the Exhaust Port is Not Restricted Also.
Hope this Helps.

Good Luck

SOURCE: Homelite UT08550A leaf blower has only been used 3

Gummed up after 3 uses? Not hardly. Have u tried fresh fuel? A new engine can poss foul a plug untill it gets broken in. Id try a plug first. I wouldnt recomend going into the carb if your not familliar and comfortable with it. If it is the carb causing the trouble then the best bet would be to replace it

Weedeater 25 cc gas leaf blower-only run on full choke and raise back up and it ies.Any solutions??

The raising or reving back up before it dies is a sign of fuel starvation. Check the diaphram in the carburator.

I have a Homelite "Vac Attack" leaf blower model

The fuel line is replaceable by itself, you don't need a new tank. Just make sure you get the same size line or it will leak where it goes into the tank. Any local small engine repair shop should have the line. There are two lines that go into the tank, the pickup line has the filter on it. It not only filters the gas but keeps the end of the line down in the fuel.

I have a Homelite BackPacker leaf blower. It runs fine until the gas tank is about half empty. Then it sputters. While it's running, I can remove gas cap and replace and it runs fine again for a little...

Great job with the description of the symptoms. What you are describing is a classic case of vapor-lock. In other words, a vacuum is forming in the fuel tank and not allowing the fuel to flow to the carburetor.

Look at the cap, it probably has a small vent built into it. With a little compressed air, blowing from the outside in, try to clear the obstruction. This may not work, but don't worry. Just replace the fuel cap. Your local lawnmower repair shop can probably get a new cap for you. Otherwise, go to www.homelite.com click on the parts tab, enter your model number (starts with a "UT") and order a new one.

Good luck!

Yard broom leaf blower will not stay running I

It seems that the carb is not getting fuel. It could be a cracked fuel line. The fuel priming bulb could also be cracked/dry rotted. Possibly the fuel pump in the carb is bad. The carb is rather intricate and not something anyone without training should try to repair. The overhaul kit will cost $15 to $20. I suggest you take the blower to a repair shop.
