Reset kurio 7 tablet to factory settings

I have forgotten the parental password for altering the safe web surfing. Can I reset the kurio to factory settings, so that I can create a new password. Thanks

    kurio 7 hi,.. how do i fully reset my kids pad,.. she has put some alarm screen save thingy on the main screen, with a password that no one know. now we can only get this screen,. no others,. i just wanna reset the thing,. setup better logs n rights times etc,.... thx,..07588308833... we live in the uk,...london england,.     To be honest, that unit has probably had it. If you have the warranty or the store extended warranty with receipt, tanke it back to them for a replacement. Other than that buy a better product. Look around the web for reviews and they should help you decide.

  • Turn off the tablet.
  • Hold the Volume (+) key, then press and hold the Power key while continuing to hold down the Volume (+). Release both buttons
  • when the KD Interactive logo is displayed. This will reboot the tablet in recovery mode
  • Once in recovery mode, use the Volume (+) to move down the menu until 'wipe data/factory reset' is highlighted.
  • Press the power button. Use the Volume (+) to highlight 'Yes' and press the power button.

A factory rest requires no previous user information.

Your tablet could not have been set up with HER information. It is probably asking for yours as the parent, as that is what i used to install apps bought for the tablet. from Kurio. Try the forgot password option using your email address. If that doesn't work contact Kurio support https://www.kurioworld.com/k/us/parents/support/contact?product=kurioWatch#device. They should be able to use the device serial number to locate your account information.

I got locked out of my kurio
If the tablet is connected to the internet, tap on forgot password or pattern then enter gmail account to receive an email with the correct password/pattern you set.

Below are steps to recover from being locked out. The first is the most extreme. The second is less extreme. And the third is probably the preferred method.

Firs, t the extreme reset. You lose your data but it returns it to factory default condition, i. e. right out of the box.

n order to reset to factory settings, please follow these instructions :

- When you get the open Android picture, press + to enter menu, use - to move down to "wipe data / factory reset" and press POWER again to choose.
- Next press - to choose "YES" and press POWER to start reset.
- Check for yellow text Formatting /data, formatting cache, Data wipe complete.
- Choose reboot system now and press POWER to complete process.
NOTE: This will erase data from your Kurio's internal storage such as Accounts, System settings and Downloaded apps. But music, pictures, and other user data won't be erased. Check "Erase SD card" if you want to clear all the data of the system.
It is also possible to reset only the Kurio Interface: Go to Parental area > Tablet Setup> Press "Reset the Interface to Factory Default Settings".
Once this has been done you will need to set the device up and perform all the updates, instructions for this are on this page.

By default it uses Google Safe Surfing.
You have to be in your parent profile.
Then click on the icon for safe search.
Don't enter search terms in the google search box, instead touch the address area on top to select where you want to surf to.
