Whirl Pool large capacity top load 2-years old if that, the controls -you have to push extremely hard and hold the start/on buttons in, sometimes it eventually starts. Otherwise you can leave it sit for hours come back and than it may start. The LCd dials do funny things and once it does start it periodically makes beeping noises while going thru the cycle. I am thinking that the control panel/brain may need to be replaced-? any help would be appreiated.
You need to replace your user interface board. Always order with the correct model number on the unit. This will eliminate you issues

Is the door firmly closed? Open the door and close it firmly. If the pause button is really stuck, you will need to repair/replace the board.

I've got same problem, with the door stuck shut, door lock NOT on, water trapped in the machine, and still no solution. 8 pages of messages and no solution.

if new did you remove shipping strap in back..the unit cant lean more than 2 degrees..make sure clothes are even in tub..try to wash clothes alike..

I have a Sears front load made by Whirlpool. It had a problem locking door. I replaced latch/switch assembly and still would not work. Took top of washer off 3 or 4 screws on back of machine lift up lid and slide back. Make sure washer is unplugged. Presto you can see wiring and control. Unplugged connectors on control and plugged them back in then tried washer and it works.
