Mute keeps activating by itself

I hooked up all the wiring, turned my car on and the screen came out and the cd started play. but for some reason the mute icon would show up on the screen and the sound would fade in and out of mute. and it wont stop. i didnt hook up the radio because it doesnt have the right plug for my car but when i put it on radio the mute still activated

Do you have a switch so that you can watch videos while driving or did you put in a bypass code to over ride the system or can you only watch videos when you have the car on handbrake?

Easy guys ill explain, if you pull the deck out and expose the wiring in the back you will see a small pink wire with a plastic and metal end, that wire is your parking break bypass wire, wut i did with my car was created a switch, its very easy, all you need to do is go to radio and purchase a ON/Off switch, it will have only two metal connector ends on that switch, basically all ya gotta do is find a suitable grounding spot for the negative or OFF side of the switch and then for the positive side...you guessed it attach the pink wire to the positive side. I had to make the pink wire longer for my switch location so if you know how to solder I wuld reccomend doing that than any other ghetto method, such as electric taping it and calling it a day, ding that may damage the system in the future

I have sound when I play the radio but no sound when the dvd, cd, or ipod is playing. What could be the problem? Do I need to hook the mute wire up to?

are you running sound through an amplifier? if so, it sounds like you are using the blue wire (power antenna remote turn on) instead of the blue/white wire (amplifier remote turn on). the blue wire turns off when leaving tuner mode, so the power antenna will go down.

Home Theatre system goes into MUTE mode while film playing

Sounds like your system is going into a safe mode. This happens when you have a neg/pos reversed hooked up, or your wires are touching. This feature prevents you from blowing up your amp. Check your wires, and make sure the positive is hooked to positive etc. and make sure no bare wires are touching.

My laptop turns itself of after 8 minutes - every time i turn my laptop on it lasts for about 8 minutes then turns itself off automatically how do i stop this? My HP laptop keeps shutting itself off after...

Sounds like something to do with a power saving feature either from HP itself or from Windows. It could also be that for some reason your computer is overheating, which it than shuts itself off to protect the processor. I would try playing with your power saving features, and cleaning out the fans.

Radio not playing

it sounds like you didn't hook up both your power wires on your cd player. there is a red and yellow power wire. one is constant power to keep memory and the other turns on the radio when the key is turned. check to see if both are hooked up

ADIC-D1 auto muting

Check the "mute" wire. It's probably grounding out causing it to mute.

Jensen vm9511ts cuts out

It sounds like the phone mute is going on and off, but I'm just guessing because I don't know your grounds, speaker wire hookup configuration, etc. Look at the screen when the music cuts off and goes back on and if you see a little red phone with the cross through speaker symbol (aka mute) it's probably the phone mute feature which is supposed to be hooked up to bluetooth and mute the stereo when you get a call. Like I said I'm just guessing, but if so there's a brown wire in the back that needs to be hooked up.
