Power on, no picture? When it boots up the No Signal flashes but then no screen picture even though everything seems operationally sound. First thoughts is the video card / motherboard is shot - anyone else have any ideas? Going to connect to HDMI to TV to see if I get picture. Before this happened the computer base eas getting hot, so I'm thinking something melted etc.

Can you try your old card? does your card have a 6 pin connector on it for power? Does your power supply have a 6 pin connector for video card power?

If the issue was the video card then there would be no display. If there was any display it would be discolored.
Try unplugging any removable media that's hooked up to the computer. After that try to boot it up.
If it still doesn't go anywhere then you most likely have a power supply issue on your hands. try unplugging an unnecessary components inside the computer such as any CD/DVD drives and removing any cards installed. Pretty much everything but the motherboard and the hard drive. If it still doesnt boot properly then you might either have to buy a new power supply or a new motherboard as long as you know your hard drive is good.
The thing si if it was an issue with the hard drive you would get an error message. If you seemed to have left out any error messages please post them.

Even though the fan on the graphics card spins, it may still be the power supply. Try another power supply before anything else, its your cheapest option as well as a new motherboard will cost more

I believe you have used the wrong type of CMOS battery. Try putting the old one back in and see if it will boot. If not the CMOS NAND chip may be broken. If this is the case contact Dell and order a new one.

This is the all-in-one Lenovo A310 PC
When I hooked it up to the TV via HDMI I didn't get any picture. Called the local computer repair and they said they'd be able to fix for flat $250 - probably a chip on the mother board - they said?
