The 55.xxxx is a communications error between the DC Controller and the formatter.

Basically The engine is not communicating with the
formatter.

1. Turn the device off and then on.
2. Verify that the flat ribbon cable between
the ECU and the formatter PCA is
connected correctly.[do extra care while removing from board easily crack at ends]
3. If the message persists, replace the
ECU[check on board and track,component damaged-burned its fixable].
If the message still persists,replace the formatter.{before replacing it can be fixable by hot oven/hot plate method }

Description
The printer has experienced an internal error. The printer may experience one of the following errors:
55.0 DC controller communication error
55.0601 DC controller NVRAM data error
55.0602 DC controller NVRAM access error
55.1 DC controller memory error
Action
Turn off the power by using the power switch, wait at least 30 seconds, and then turn on the power and wait for the printer to initialize.
If a surge protector is used, remove it. Plug the printer directly into the wall socket. Use the power switch to turn on the printer.
If the message persists, contact HP support.

You need to first check the connection between the dc controller and the formatter and if the connection is fine you need to replace the dc controller.

Fan Motor Error. Fan Motor 3 (FM3) is defective.

Switch the printer off and then back on. If the error continues:

1. Check cabling between fan motor(s) and DC Controller PCA.
2. Replace the faulty fan motor.
3. Replace the DC Controller.

Error 51.X is a loss of beam-detect occurred.Possible reasons:
1 - Beam-detect error
2 - Laser error

1. Press GO. The page containing the error will automatically be reprinted. 2. Turn the printer off and then on. 3. Reseat cables to the laser/ scanner and engine controller. 4. Replace the laser/scanner. 5. Replace the DC controller.

E002 Error code details Heater temperature error (fails to reachspecific level; inadequate increase)


0000　The temperature of the fixing film is as follows:
1. has exceeded 100°C, but does not reach 115°C within 1 sec thereafter.
2. has exceeded 140°C, but does not reach 150°C within 1 sec thereafter.
3. has exceeded 160°C, but does not reach 165°C within 1 sec thereafter.

Main cause
　The fixing film unit is faulty (i.e., the main thermistor TH1 has poor contact, or the fixing heater is faulty). The main power supply PCB is faulty. The DC controller PCB is faulty.

Caution
　To clear the error, execute the following in service mode: COPIER>FUNCTION>FCLEAR>ERR.

Action
　See the description for E003. E003 Error code details Heater temperature error (abnormal drop; low-temperature detection)


0000　The main thermistor reading is lower than 140°C when paper is moved.

Main cause
　The fixing film unit is faulty (i.e., the main thermistor (TH1) has poor contact or has an open circuit; or, the fixing heater is faulty). The main power supply PCB is faulty. The DC controller PCB is faulty.

Caution
　To clear the error, execute the following in service mode: COPIER>FUNCTION>CLEAR>ERR.

Action
1. State
　Turn on the power switch, and clear E002/E003. Thereafter, turn off and then on the power switch. Does the fixing heater operate?
　NO: See "The fixing heater fails to operate."
2. Wiring
　Is the wiring from the DC controller PCB to the fixing film unit normal?
　NO: Correct the wiring.
3. Fixing film unit, DC controller PCB
　Try replacing the fixing film unit. Is the problem corrected?
　YES: End.
　NO: Replace the DC controller PCB.

Main cause The wiring is faulty (short circuit, open circuit). The composite power supply PCB is faulty. The DC controller PCB is faulty.

NO: Connect the connectors securely.
