Most likely you have an issue with you're alternator, to avoid that spendy fix I would check your fuse box and make sure the wiring isn't corroded, along with double checking you're lugknuts that feed on your battery and make sure you're battery is pushing out that voltage.

SOURCE: Drove home in a snow

Could be a dirty or snow packed ABS sensor made brake light come on, not 100% sure on yur vehicle. Tire pressures will lower when colder, perhaps all related to snow & cold . If in garage, let it warm up & melt some snow & maybe yur troubles will disappear. I would check tire pressures regardless, they may have been borderline low, and cold caused it to go low enough to trip monitor.

SOURCE: my interior dome lights flicker

Sounds like you have loose wiring or a short in the power door locks. Try looking behind the power door lock switch and work your way back through the door to see if there are any loose or bare wires touching on any doors with a lock button. A Chilton or Haynes Manual for your exact car may be found at a library or most auto parts stores, and they'd be able to give you the exact location and diagrams of the wiring for your power door locks. The dome light may be a loose or broken switch in the door that turns the lights on/off when you open/close the door, try tightening the bolts or nuts holding this switch to the door frame. Hope I could help.

SOURCE: headlights flicker on and off at times .interior

the first thing to check is if u have a steady ground wire this can cause the flicker so can a low battery that doesnt have it full health a semi attach wire can do the same
to check ur ground look for corrosion at batt post (black wire) follow it to where it mounts clean or replace if needed.

Skid control

sounds like you might have lost traction on one of the drive tires momentarily this could have been caused by moisture or oil on the road when you took off, if it only happened once don't worry about it

Vsa and management light on honda accord type s 2.4 and still drives alright. how can i rectify

A scan tool will be needed, this like the check engine light, the computers are aways testing the systems in which they operate and when theres a problem the computer will turn the light on to let you know theres a problem and then it will store a code, the code will tell you where the problem is and with some checking the problem can be found, for example they scan the computer for codes and the code pops up as po352 left front wheel sensor, this would mean a problem with that sensor, VSA = vehicle stability assist, this is to keep control of car under slippery conditions or when skidding, it will release brake and also keep tires from spinning in snow or wet road, theres a button to turn this system on or off a light on dash will let you know if its on or off, so start by having it scanned, you will need to take to dealer or shop, you will not notice any diffrence in driving it just wont stablize if the tires spin in snow , good luck hope this helps,

My 2003 Envoy was totalled before I bought it but it doesn't drive in snow. I mean AT ALL. It slides with the slightest snow fall and the tires just spin. I went to buy new tires but the guy said the tread...

It could be the frame is a little bent causing you to skid when it gets slick, a body shop could check it for you. also check to make sure you don't have a sticking or dragging brake pad.

We put weight in the back but it seems to slide a lot on the road with snow. Is there something we don't know?

yes,,,there a bit tale light,,and you may be going a bit to fast as well,,,,the more weight you put in the back the more likely the rear is to brake away on you if your to fast into a bend???
try slowing down,,,,,like a lot!!!!!,,,,,, before you kill yourself

What is abs how it function

ABS is anti-lock braking system. It is a range of four sensors which monitor the braking capability when you apply the brakes. If you are harsh and stamp on the brake pedal there is a risk of the wheels locking up and sliding (screeching from the tires).

The ABS sensors modulate the brake caliper pistons andapply and let go the brakes very quickly. This stops the tires from skidding and you will feel a pulse through the brake pedal as the hydraulic system is forced to release the pedal slightly for a fraction of a second.

As ABS stops your car from skidding it allows you to turn the steering when you are braking hard. This is good news for avoiding accidents. If you lock the wheels on a non ABS car, you continue in the direction of the wheels - unless you release the brakes and reapply quickly (same method as ABS) this is called cadence braking but when involved with a potential accident the last thing on people's minds is to release the brake pedal. Having only owned older cars, cadence braking is one method I've learned, especially from driving in the snow.

I hope this helps you and please vote for me :)

Car skids while driving on snow

you may need to have your anti lock brakes servicd assuming you have abs this may also be a light you have on tires also play vital role the front and bake brakes have to be adjusted indpentanly so just cause you put on new front brakes the rear still have to be adjusted somtimes they dont even work and no one notices since the front brakes acount for most of your stoppping power

Whatis the rear anti lock? The light has come on.

It only keeps you from locking up your brakes on icy roads. If the roads are slick or you have to slam on your brakes it keeps your brakes from locking and skidding so you don't have an accident.

I had flat tire yesterday ,put on the spare then drove on freeway the slip light came on once i got to a certain speed and the car brakes wont allow me to go faster than 45mph now

your abs/ anti skid sensors are reading that one tire is spinning faster than the others, due to a smaller tire in one corner of the vehicle, it is actually confusint the cpu into thinking the tire is actually skidding, hence, it is compensating for what it is programmed to believe is a hazourdous condition.
