I have frigidaire gas ranger: what will be the power of the trans
What will be the transformer power in VA that I should apply to it.
I buy the ranger in Canada and I moved to france. The power supply here is 220V and in Canada is 110/120V. I buy transformer step down 220 to 120V with 500VA. In my ranger it's writing 120V 60hz and 15 Amp. This tranformer will work for my ranger or no?

Usually a 40 VA transformer is enough. If you want to make sure you have enough power for inrush requirements, a 100 VA transformer would more than do the trick
Presumably, the John Deere is manufactured in or for the USA. If so the plug for the power adapter is for USA. To confirm this check for 2 straight vertical pins adjacent to each other at the top of the plug. The plug may or may not also have a circular round (or half round) pin centralised underneath the two vertical pins. Also confirm that the power adapter has printed on it something similar to 100 -- 120V (volts) to 6V. In this case, you will need a plug-in transformer to operate the power pack. The voltage required is: 240V input to 115V output. You should be able to purchase an enclosed unit with the appropriate plug (for AUS) and socket (for US) from Tandy, **** Smith or a similar retailer or an electrical wholesaler. The other specification you will need when purchasing an enclosed transformer is the power rating in Watts or VA. Look for this information on the power pack and buy a transformer that is rated above this rating. If the power rating is not stated on the power pack look for a current rating in amps (A) or milliamps (mA -- 1 mA = 0.001A) associated with the US voltage (100 -- 120V). Multiply the current x the voltage to obtain a VA or Watts rating. Buy a transformer which is rated above this power rating.
I would pickup a plastic manual pump syphon hose, insert it in the transmission fill tube and pump out the appropriate amount. You should be able to buy on cheaply at most auto parts or home improvement stores.
I assume that the indoor unit has a 40 va transformer, shut off power, remove outdoor transformer, wire the yellow and common to the contactor outside, make the same connections at the stat and indoor unit
Try rebuilding your Carburator ,sounds to me your uncle is right the diaphram under the carburator, known as the power valve will cause your engine to lack power and surge as though it's looking for a idling point, and it will cause flooding, Cheaper to buy a complete rebuilders kit from an auto parts store than it is to buy knew one ! or even have it done. last time I rebuilt my ford carb I paid about $18.00 dollars for the Master rebuilder kit ! also you will need a tach and dwell meter to adjust the carb.Good Luck.
what you need to do is isolate the loads that are on the transformer and put a amp meter on the transformer and read the amps while you put the loads on one at a time. the one that spikes is the one thats bad. You can put a inline fuse in to protect the transformer. A 3 AMP fusw qould be good for a 75 va transformer if its a 50 va you would need a 2 ampo fuse.
