I have a Craftright engineering works, aluminium staple gun...however when I try to use it no staples come out. The safety lock is not on and it seems that nothing is holding the staples to the front which I think is my problem. I have not lost any pieces and the instructions on the packaging are non-existent.

Pull out the part that loads the staples, turn the gun upside down, put the staples in the bottom of the gun and push the loader back in. It took me awhile to realize that you don't load them on the piece that pulls out of the gun.
Cheers.

On this model, there should be a spring on the arm. Compress the spring and put the staples in. When you close it, the metal part on the end of the spring holds the staples tight.

SOURCE: Staple Gun Troubleshooting
Most of the staple gun models lack an "anvil" — the metal plate with curved slots that office staplers use to bend the legs of the staple inwards and flattens them against the paper. Staples set with a staple gun retain their straight legs, and are held in place only by static friction of the legs against the compressed surrounding material, much like common nails. Indeed, some staple gun models can handle brads and nails as well as staples. Some staple guns also use divergent point staples where the legs twist as the staple drives into the surface providing superior holding power.

I own a Power Sot and the directions are very clear. Squeeze the clip at the back of the unit and pull the spring-loaded clip out. Put your staples in and GO!!

At the very botton of the stapeler in the back there should be a square mechanism press in and down then just slide the staples in and eplace the mechanism the way you took it out

Bought a new CRAFTRIGHT staple gun from bunnings warehouse, cam with no instructions. And it has no clear way of loading staples. Please need help with loading it.
I have exactly the same problem
It is a piece of trash. I have the same problem. Ran out of staples and there is none in stock at Bunnings.
If its the same as mine u dont load them the same as a lightweight or office staple gun, with mine u have to pull the handle out and down pull the spring loaded piece like where u normally load the staples out, turn the gun upside down so where the staples come out is upright then drop the staples facing up into the open chamber, close the spring loaded slide return the handle to its normal position and your ready to go
Just purchased the same one this weekend with the same problem! Did you find out what the problem was?
