I am getting a error code E64 on Frigidaire affinity model# FASE7021NW0 It still get hot but keeps cutting off, what should I do

Hello friend, that's a great question!

From my understanding your Frigidaire Affinity dryer is displaying an error code of "E64". An "E64" error code stands for the heater circuit is open. This could be a possible problem with your heater, wiring harness, or even a miscommunication within your dryer. In order to clear out any miscommunication you can perform a reset on your dryer and to do that you need to unplug the power cord for at least ten minutes. If this does not help to resolve your issue I would recommend having a professional technician out diagnose and repair your dryer to help avoid any future issues or unnecessary part purchases. Hopefully this information is helpful. -Matt

My Frigidaire Dryer (Model #FASE7073LWO has a error "E64" listed on the window. What error is this in reference too?

E64 means Heater Open Circuit. Either your heater coil is blown or you have some bad wiring to the heater coil.

My Frigidaire Dryer (Model #FASE7073LW0) has an "E64" message listed. What error is this in reference too?

Good Morning Yasmin Abdullah, I am happy to assist you!

Based off the information you have provided your Frigidaire dryer is displaying error code "E64". "E63" typically stands for heater open circuit, which means that it could be a faulty wiring harness or heater. I would suggest performing a reset on your dryer by disconnecting power from it for ten minutes. This could be a false error code or a miscommunication within the board and a reset will help to clear that out. I hope this information is helpful to some degree. -Matt

How can i fix an e64 code for frigidare affinity dryer

Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand you are receiving an E64 code on your Frigidaire Affinity dryer. I suggest resetting your appliance, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. Sometimes there can be a miscommunication between the different boards inside your appliance. Restore power and try any cycle. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. If further troubleshooting is needed, please leave me your model number, so I am able to better assist. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

I have an error code 64 on my dryer. I am out of work doing chemo right now. can anyone tell me what the problem is

If your Frigidaire Affinity dryer is beeping at you and giving you the "E64 CALL SERVICE" business, chances are you have a bad heating element. The good news is, with a screwdriver, a pair of pliers (a multimeter if you have one) and a new heater element you can fix this yourself and save a couple hundred bucks.

Below I outline a step by step process to do this on the Frigidaire Affinity, but this guide may help with other dryers, as they basically all function the same way.

A WORD OF CAUTION: You will be handling a lot of thin sheet metal components. Be careful as it is easy to cut yourself on them.

First you'll want to unplug the dryer. Then disconnect the vent hose and the water feed (if applicable). Be sure and shut off the water valve first, or you'll have a mess!

MY FRIGIDAIRE AFFINITY FRONT LOAD DRYER THE PROBLEM IS IT WILL START DRYING BUT AFTER ABOUT 2-5 MINUTES A BUZZ SOUND WILL COME ON WITH THE E64

Hello Marcheller, thank you for your question! Typically error code E64 is an indication that the heater circuit is in the open position. This is not a simple DIY job; I would highly recommend consulting a professional to move forward accurately. The certified technician will need to check the heater coils and connections for open circuits. Depending on the diagnosis the heater or wiring may need replacing.

My affinity electric dryer shuts off after a few minutes, isn't heating, and blinks EA4

That means that the ignitor is most likely failing to start the process to ignite the gas. The ignitor is like a light bulb and can burn out.
