There is a pin hole present on back side of modem reset button press it for 5 seconds and ur modem is reset all setting and passwords

Here is a direct link to show you how to secure your router, now you will need to reset your router to default settings before securing to do that press and hold the reset button located on the back of the router for 15 seconds or until router resets, you may need a paper clip to access the reset button.

Try resetting the DSL modem by pressing and holding the reset button at the back until it restarts itself. This will put it back to factory defaults and if this is a system problem on the modem, resetting will fix it.

Did you try a factory reset?

With the router powered on and running, se a toothpick or something like that to hold the reset button down for 20 seconds. Release the reset button and wait for the router to reboot. This usually takes a minute or two.

You may need to reboot your computer, although it's generally simpler to unplug the ethernet cable from the router (after the factory reset), wait 30 seconds, then plug the cable back in.
This is also known as 'renew dhcp lease'.

If that doesn't work, try powering down your cable modem/dsl adapter, power down the router, then power up the cable modem/dsl, wait for it to connect, then power up the router.
Some cable modems and dsl boxes 'lock on' to the first ethernet adapter they see, this will make the cable/dsl box reset the lock.

Modem is system independent and it is irrelevant if you run 32bit or 64 or indeed any bit operating system. Modem is accessed via html (browser) or by command line (masochists only...). Just select your country and download manual, as access and settings vary slightly from country to country, I cannot then provide you with more relevant information.

go to www.dlink.com.au. from there on the left hand side click on support. Then click D-Link products specs, downloads, setup guides, troubleshooting & how to's. Now on there are 2 boxes saying SELECT. On the left box select DSL and on the 2nd box select 2520u.Clcik download and from there you can select the driver depending on your OS.

DSL is PPPOE ( requires you to call up your DSL company and have them reset the PPPOE password every-time the modem gets reset) but with Cable this is not a problem trust me. I used to have DSL and I hated having to call up India everytime my dumb brother hit the reset button on the modem when his Internet was not working. Hope this helps and go with Cable!!
