The LED light won't show up

I own the 4623LE Plus model. I am having trouble with the needle up down function. Nothing is happening when I push it. Also, the LED light that usually lights up my stitch selection is not on at all. I have no idea what stitch I am on unless I do a sample on fabric first and then memorize which one I am on and count when I turn the dial. Any solutions? The manual does not contain any helpful information. Thank you so much.

Check your bobbin winder spindle. It may be engaged. (pushed to the right). Push it to the left, if it's pushed to the right and the LED will go on.

are the cords for the power & foot pedal plugged in correctly?
the only thing I can suggest is taking the machine to a sewing machine shop
to be checked

LED that illuminates the stitch selection bar quit working as did the up/down needle button.

Check your bobbin spindle. If engaged (pushed toward the right) LED will not light. When the clutch knob is pulled out, when you wind a bobbin, the up & down needle will not move. So you must push the clutch knob in again to let the up & down needle go up and down. The clutch knob on my machine is in the large hand wheel upper right side of my machine.

Right needle skipping stitches Janome 4623LE

if you adjust that setting, check that the needle goes into the needle plate the exact same distance front to back on both the right and left side. Also, be careful not to change the height when changing the twist.

Electrical problem?

Neither the needle up/down or the LED for the stitch selector will work if the bobbin winding pin/holder is pushed to the right (meaning pushed into the winding position). If you accidentally left the winding pin/holder pushed over, you will lose the functions of both the LEAD and the needle up/down button! (Neither of these functions can work while in bobbin winding mode!)

LED shows 5P or SP

take the bobbin winder post (the silver metal post on the top to the right next to the spool of thread and push it to the left toward the spool of thread. The SP means it is in Spool mode.

Needle position jammed?

First make sure you are using a needle that is recommended by your model. Secondly make sure the needle is inserted correctly. The flat side of the needle needs to be against the flat bar that makes the needle go up and down. After this, unplug the power supply and let it set for a couple of minutes. This gives the computer time to re-set itself.
Hope these suggestions work!
