PT 50LC13. Sound but no picture

sound like your lamp is bad ...Panasonic TY-LA1000 Lamp Replacement...Ballast Repair Kit for Panasonic PT-50LC13 some time the ballast go bad as well to hear bouth part number one lamp and 2 ballast I hope this help you..

hi, make sure the lamp is fitted securely and the lamp cover as well you may need to reset the lamp counter hope it helps

Replace the lamp .

You can purchase the lamp supply thru "Encompassparts.com... The cost is $100.00, there is a $250.00 core charge on that module, so when you return the old they refund the 250. Initial investment will be 350.23 then take the 250. off that. That will be the end cost.

Well, If you see on-screen display and Menu on TV screen that shows problem is with connections wires of DVD Player etc. Also check Cable connector at rear of TV.
One more trick it to unplug TV from AC outlet for couple of minutes and replug back in and power it up. Hope this will fix TV problem.

Power on the set, listen for afaint buzzing sound as the set tries to fire up. If you do not here it then your lamp driver, or ballast is most likely faulty. Also make sure you have the door and all covers back in place and secure. And make sure you insatlled an orginal panasonic lamp because some generic will not work.

You need to have your Panasonic remote.
1. Make sure the power cord is plugged into a properly grounded outlet and turn on the set with the power button on the projection unit or the remote control.

2. While holding down the (VOL -) key on the projection unit press the PIP or SPLIT key at the same time. Hold it for longer than 5 Seconds. The PIP or SPLIT key is model specific:

PIP for Models:
PT-50LC13/PT-60LC13/PT-50LCX63/
PT-60LCX63/PT-43LCX64/
PT-50LCX64/PT-60LCX64

SPLIT for Models:
PT-43LC14/PT-50LC14/PT-60LC14



3. When the unit resets the lamp timer it will display a screen on the TV indicating it was reset to zero. You press recall on the remote to exit.

It could be the ballast that is bad. A bad ballast also shortens the Lamp life .

i'm on my 3rd bulb in 5 yrs. i hate this tv. this time my bulb light didn't come on. instead the power light flashed green fast then went to red flashing after. i took out the bulb and it's blown!

try unpluging and plug back in, same on cable box if you have one i have had calls with no sound and found cable box is the problem just unplug for about 30 sec and plug back in
