Where do you put the liquid fabric softner in a 8 cycle, top load Roper.

There is a place to put the bleach but I can't figure out where to put the fabric softner. The cap comes off on top of the aggatator, but if you put the stuff in there it runs out into the wash water. HELP.

Once the cycle begins, you can't lift the lid.

It goes into the top of the agitator on that machine. It should look like this.

Most washers have a small screen at the water inlet valve. They can be accessed simply by revoving the hose from the back side of the washer, using a small screw driver you can carefully remove the screens and clean them out under a faucet. That may be all that is wrong.

SOURCE: Top Load Roper Washer does not agitate during wash/rinse cycle

You may need to replace agitator dogs located inside the agitator or the drive coupler located above the motor. It dependis on which model you have.

Your main barring that controls the spinning is going out. Try and see if can spray lubricant to oil/ grease to see if that helps.

Htwp1200doww where does fabric softner go

You have to do it manually. Ugh. See below from manual:

Liquid Fabric Softener (Manually add during rinse cycle)
1. Turn OPTIONS knob to FABRIC SOFTENER
2. Measure liquid fabric softener carefully, following instructions on the bottle, and add during the rinse cycle.

OPTIONS (on some models)
Set this option when planning to manually add fabric softener during the rinse cycle or when you use extra detergent or bleach to clean hazily soiled items. It provides an enhanced rinse.

Where do we put the bleach and fabric softner?

Hello,

Sorry to break the bad news, using the model# you provided i looked ata parts breakdown, and dont see dispensers for either. On all washers the bleach is always dispensed in the wash cycle, so you could add it before any clothes. The softener is always added in the rinse so, you could get one of ball thingys thats sold in the aisle where softeners are.it will only dispense the softener in the rinse cycle

I hope this helps

RTW434OSQO Is there a place to add softner

Actually no. The only thing you can add in your machine is soap and bleach. There is not a fabric softener dispensor in either the agitator or the chassis.

I am not endorsing this product only using it as an example but you can use one of these to automatically add fabric softener post 1st spin cycle:

http://www.downy.com/en-US/product/the-downy-ball.jspx

There are 2 or 3 different variations from several manufacturers out there.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Maytag MTW5620T2 the fabric softner despenser doesn't despense. There is mositure inside and it slings fabric softner everywhere. It leaks from the side hole of the agitator. Gets fabric softner on my...

Liquid Softener was clogged up over time.
1-Put hot water in the place of the Softener slowly and let it over flow to dissolve the solidified liquid.
2-Keep doing this until you see water at the bottom of the tub.
3-Run a small load to clean out the gum.

"fabric softner staining the clothes"

make sure you delute it with water. yes fabric softner will start to stain your clothes if you use too much of it. I would recomend stop useing it for a while. so you can clean the washer out. There is a product called Washer magic or Affresh that cleans out residues built up in your washer. or you can just run several loads of HOT water and bleach to clean it out. The hot water will melt the left over fabric softner in your washer. Fabric softner is kind of like hardend bacon fat thats what it looks like in your washer after time and if you do not clean your washer it builds up and builds up.
Also i do recomend alternating liquid detergent and powdered detergent. The reason why is powder leaves a residue that liquid takes away and vise versa. try this and let me know how it goes

Can I use color safe bleach in my new cabrio, and if so where do I put it?

According to the manual on pages 12 & 13.

1.
Place a load of sorted clothes into the washer. See “Laundry
Tips.”
■ Load evenly to maintain washer balance. Mix large and
small items. Items should move easily through the wash
water.
■ Load only to the top of the basket as shown. Overloading
can cause poor cleaning. Items need to move easily
through the wash water.
2. Pour measured powdered or liquid High Efficiency detergent
into the detergent dispenser. Always use the detergent
dispenser, and do not put detergent directly onto clothes in
the washer.
3. Add color-safe bleach (powdered or liquid) to this dispenser,
if needed. Be sure to match powdered color-safe bleach with
powdered detergent or match liquid color-safe bleach with
liquid detergent.
4. Pour measured liquid chlorine bleach into the liquid chlorine
bleach dispenser, if needed. Bleach is diluted and
automatically dispensed at the proper time during the wash
cycle.
■ Do not overfill. Do not dilute. Do not use more than 1 cup
(250 mL) for a full load. Use less with a smaller load size.
■ Follow the garment and the chlorine bleach
manufacturer’s directions for proper use.
■ To avoid spilling, use a cup with a pouring spout. Do not
let bleach splash, drip, or run down into the washer basket.
■ At the end of the cycle, a small amount of water may be
left in the dispenser. This is normal.
NOTE: Use only liquid chlorine bleach in this dispenser.

5. Pour measured liquid fabric softener into the fabric softener
dispenser, if desired.
■ Do not overfill. The dispenser holds 3 oz (94 mL), or a
capful of fabric softener.
■ The fabric softener is dispensed in the final rinse. If Extra
Rinse is selected, the fabric softener will be dispensed
during the Extra Rinse.
■ Do not spill or drip any fabric softener onto the clothes.
■ At the end of the cycle, a small amount of water may be
left in the dispenser. This is normal.
NOTE: Use only liquid fabric softener in this dispenser.
6. Close the washer lid.
7. Press POWER. This turns on the washer display.
8. Select a Wash Cycle. See “Cycles.”
9. Select the desired Modifiers. See “Modifiers.”
10. Select an Option, if desired. See “Options.”
11. Select Delay Wash, if desired. See “Delay Wash” in the
“Modifiers” section.
12. Press START. The wash cycle begins, and the display shows
the estimated remaining time. The lid will lock.
NOTE: If you do not press Start within 5 minutes of pressing
Power, the washer automatically shuts off.

The way that I read the manual, your color safe bleach would go in the detergent dispenser. Your liquid chlorine bleach would go in the bleach dispenser.
