there is some shorted component/s in the horizontal output section of your project TV. check them. Horizontal output transistor and transormer should be checked.

Power on, sound no picture for three seconds, power off, led blinks 6 times pause repeat

  • Six blinks - No Horizontal (H STOP), no raster, goes to the blinking self-diagnosis function immediately. Check C515 & 516 and the jungle IC, IC206.

That means no horizontal output which could be caused by a faulty driver stage or even a faulty power supply.
Hope that helps.

I have a Honda GX610 horizontal shaft that will idle with full choke but dies when throttle is applied or choke is reduced. Any suggestions? Thanks

Not getting enough fuel or you wouldn't need the choke. Need a clean spark plug and take carb apart and clean. Sounds like it has been sitting a long time and gummed up.

31gt660 TV will not turn on. Makes high pitched sound.

This set has a shorted horizontal output transistor and possibly a bad high voltage transformer. If you repair the set, also solder the horizontal drive for the transistor listed above. Try www.encompassparts.com for parts. the h-ouput transistor is p/n: 223942 and the transformer is 223952 .Thanks and good luck.

Heard a pop then no picture. Self-Diagnosis issues 4 flashes but have no idea what that means. Sounds like a problem with the lamp, but there is no mention of a lamp in the Operating manual.

there is no lamp, it's a crt type rear projection. i seem to recall 4 flash
blink code is horizontal stop, I'm not sure. Might be your horizontal output has blown, the pop you heard. Would begin at that circuit. Use only original replacement part, no sub. can use 2sd5142 for the horizontal output.

No Picture but I have Sound

If your TV uses the CTC 203 chassis or similar one, you more than likely have a loose solder joint on the horizontal output transistor base circuit. It's a little inductor (coil covered with red epoxy about 1/2 in. long). If this coil opens up or stops making connection, you lose the horizontal drive pulse to the horizontal output transistor thus causing the screen to go black due to the loss of high voltage. High Pitched Noise

most high pitch noise comes from the anode conection on the picture tube thats connected to the flyback anode cap thats mean there is a high voltage leak,to stop the noise you can discharge the high voltage take off the cap and clean with alcohol.if the noise continue.you will have to put some red or clear silicone both the cap and tube stick together leave to dry for about 2 to 4 hrs.this will eliminate the leaking.good luck.

Check for shorted base-collector junction on horizontal output transistor designator Q14401. Also coil L14401 going to base of transistor needs to be desoldered, scrape ends, resoldered. If horizontal transistor is shorted, real possible flyback transformer bad.

Possible power supply problem?

Yep i can tell you what it is. The High pitched sound is the power supply soound when its overloaded and thats because the Horizontal output transistors shorted and this happened because of the flyback transformer went bad and /or the horizontal driver coil right off the secondary of the horizontal driver transformer and then the other side of this coil connects to the base of the horizontal output transistor. The part transformer cost about 35 to 45 bucks to the dealer and the transistor cost about 15 bucks. the total repair job cost about 175 to 225.00 after all said and done and some shops even may charge more ad there labopr rates may be higher. Good Luck
