Bosch 500 series error E13 can't get to the front pump

So the washer stops at the rinse, I researched online and removed the front round panel at the bottom, started unscrewing the plastic cap - which came off, but then left a grey plastic cap of some kind still in place, I can't get this off to be able to check if the pump area is clean :(

SOURCE: bosch frontload washer will not drain

Hello Mamma5, It sounds like the drain pump is either seized or jammed. The drain pump has an anti jam device in it. Since you have figured out how to get into the drain pump, try turning the inpeller in the back. It will be a little hard to turn as the magnets in the motor will fight you on this. Look close in case there is anykind of thread wrapped around the inpeller. If so, then you can free the pump. If you cannot free it to run, advise the repairman what you found so he can bring a drain pump with him.
Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Bosch series 300 washer: E:04 error; how to remove pump cover

You can get that cover off, by prying it up at the bottom and spinning the thing clockwise. then there is a large hand turnable plug inside.

Once you turn it water will start leaking out, you'll have to get in and pull out the crud from the pump screen there to clear the jam. Good luck!

SOURCE: Bosch Nexxt 100 series front load washer

You first of all need to check the pump filter.
This should be located at the botom front right of washer.
Look for a drop down flap or cover, once located, unscrew filter anti-clockwise to remove and clean.

The pump itself is directly behind the filter housing, check there is nothing stuck in the housing.
This should solve the prob.
Please leave feedback for my solution.
Thankyou.

SOURCE: Bosch 500 washer won't finish rinse cycle. Flashing error code13

Timed out on drain cycle, basically you either have an outlet blockage or something is trapped in the pump, you can check the pump by opening the bottom right flap on the front panel, manually emptying the w/m and checking the pump filter for coins etc. Also, check the outlet isn't blocked.
Good Luck.

SOURCE: My Bosch 100 series won't drain or spin. How do I

If you experience a problem where the washer does not drain properly or the drain pump makes excessive noise, here’s the information you need to check the drain pump:

Symptom: PUMP IS RUNNING, BUT NOT DRAINING PROPERLY.

1. Unplug the washer while servicing inside the unit.
2. Remove the lower kick panel under the door by removing the three 7mm screws under the bottom edge of the panel. HINT: Use a couple of blocks of wood to prop up the front feet of the washer to gain better access to the screws. Once the screws are removed the panel should drop down, and then pull off. If the panel becomes stuck, a slight tap on either side will dislodge it.
3. Locate the drain pump. It will be located directly under the wash tub (it is the only pump this washer has).
4. There is an access removal cover on the pump that can be removed to clean out the trap. BEFORE doing this, it is strongly recommended that you remove all residual water from the wash tub & drain line or you will have about a gallon or so inside your washer and on the floor to clean up.
5. Here’s a helpful way of quickly removing the residual water. If you own a wet/dry shop vac, remove the drain hose from the standpipe at the wall and pull a vacuum with the shop vac. This will empty the wash tub, pump and drain lines. If you don’t own a shop vac, grab a bunch of old towels and open the access on the pump slowly so that it comes out at a trickle. Allow the towels to soak up the majority of the water. Close the access and stop the water if you need to get additional towels.
6. Open the pump access and remove once you have all the water drained. Check the drain pump for foreign objects and debris. Check the pump impeller and make sure there’s nothing caught in it. Items as small as toothpicks or cotton swabs have been known to stop this pump from working.
7. Clean out the pump thoroughly and reinstall the access cover. Make sure the cover is snug, but do not over tighten.
8. Place the drain hose back in the standpipe (IMPORTANT – DO NOT FORGET!).
9. With the bottom panel still off, plug the washer back in and select the following on the operator console – DRAIN SPIN, NO SPIN, and then press any button under OPTIONS 4 times (it must be the same button). “C00” will show on the console display as the washer begins diagnostics mode.
10. Check the drain pump for leaks as the washer fills. The pump is gravity filled and will hold water even it is not pumping. Allow washer to run through diagnostics until it begins the wash tub tumble cycle.
11. At this point, you can stop the diagnostics procedure by pressing PAUSE/CANCEL 2 times. The drain pump energizes and the washer will begin to drain.
12. If the drain pump works normal and there are no leaks detected, reinstall the bottom panel and tighten screws.

NOTE: It is normal to have residual water left inside the wash tub under the wash basket. This is why it is important to leave the door ajar when not in use so this water does not become sour.

I have a Bosch washing machine, 500+ series. I am receiving an error: E:02. Can someone assist me with this issue as soon as possible? I'd appreciate it. Best Regards, Darcy Mendoza

E02 means the unit is not getting adequate water or the drain is coming clogged. Remove the round access panel on the lower right front panel and take the drain catch off by twisting it. Water will come out so be careful, remove and clear all the debris in the drain catch. If you don't find anything then the issue might be with lack of water getting into the unit. If you are sure the water hoses are not frozen and have good water pressure then you will need to replace your electronic water valve on the back of the washer.

Can you tell me where the emergency latch is to open the front door of my Bosch 500 Series washer?I have error code E:13

Hi, the emergency latch release is behind the small round panel below the main tub door. A string will be threaded through the pump housing and you just need to pull it to open the main door. To open the access door ( small round panel ) you'll require a small round needle shaped object or really narrow screwdriver. Put it in the small hole in the panel push in slightly and turn to about 6 o'clock...clockwise that is. The small round cover should now come off and expose the pump with the string going through a hook on the pump housing. Let me know how you make out and also if you require further assistance with this problem. Good luck. Macmarkus :)

E17 error code

Got an E17 Error today on a Bosch 6450 Series washer (the user manual says Bosch Vision 300/500/DLX series). Here's what I did to fix the problem.
- Tilted the unit back, propped up the front with some 2x4 (lying flat; that's all the room I had).
- removed 3 screws (Torx 20 I think) under the front lip. Then slid the cover (below the washer opening) down. This revealed the pump to empty the washer, a manual door lock opening pull rod, and a drain line (?)
- Looking through some holes in the front panel I saw some water on the bottom of the washer... but I spent a lot of time with the pump cleaning it out first (some zipper pull got in there and made a lot of plastic shavings). - Ultimately I got my hand the bottom of the washer and soaked up the water that I could find. That's when I realized
- there is a micro switch mechanism at the bottom near the front. This must be the "AquaStop". The mechanism contains a bit of styrofoam that floats up on any little amount of water that collects under it and triggers the microswitch. So, I removed that unit, wiped the water up... put it all back together. No more E:17 error.
Still don't know how the water got there in the first place though.
