The ROPER support page is very unhelpful(see below) bought out by Whirlpool in Canada but the model numbers do not cross over.
Yes, I beleive you wil have to replace the eliment. Isolate and test it with an ohm meter to be sure. It should have a high resistance reading. Parts can be found many places on the internet or local appliance parts places.

Make sure u have seleced the high heat setting..The fact that it is heating more or less indicates that the element is o/k.
Check and clean any filter(s) that u can see,it is more likely to be a thermostat problem than anything else. and there are at least 2 of them, also check line voltage is correct.
Plz rate this solution.
thanks.

NOT DRYER CLOTHS LIKE IT USE TO TAKING MUCH LONGER

Check for clogs in the vent air line. If dryer lint or some obstruction is slowing the air flow it will take longer to dry clothes. Also the dryer may not be getting hot enough. Check to see if the clothes feel hot or warm when you reach inside. If it feels hot enough it is likely an issue with air flow. heat and air flow are required to dry clothes.

Whirlpool dryer does not get hot enough to dry clothes.

Clean/repair the dryer vent. If the airflow is restricted the result is the one you just described.

Good luck,

The vent may be stopped up, or the vent hose crimped so the air cannot escape, you can check the air flow at the vent on the outside of the house while the dryer is running.
try cleaning the vent and the lint screen with a vacuum cleaner, you may need to replace the vent hose, this should solve the problem

Dryer gets hot but wont dry clothes

Do you know if the dryer vent is free of obstructions?Check outside where the dryer vents outside ,and see if the air is weak or flowing freely. If it is not clogged the air should be pretty strong from the vent outside. If it has blockage it will definitly take longer to dry your clothes.

Most common cause of this is a clogged venting going to the outside to test this remove the vent from the back of the dryer and run a load if it drys ok them you know you have a venting issue and will need to be cleaned out if not plz repost and we can look deeper into it

Dryer not drying

Check your lint filter. Put it under running water to see if the water goes through it. Chances are it is clogged up. Wash it and put it back. Should do the trick.

Needs 2 drying cycles

I am assuming you are cleaning the lint filter. Check the vent pipe out the back. If it vents into the wall, the piping leading to outside may be plugged. Your washer is spinning the clothes good, right? If the clothes are excessively wet they will take longer to dry also. If its practical, remove the vent hose and let it dry blowing into the room. It may suck but just once for a test.

Either the heater element is breaking or is loose and getting only 110V instead of 240V.  First I would check the wall outlet with a voltmeter for 240V between Line1 and Line2.  Also check the connections and continuity for the heater element.

Clothes Hot but damp, water out of vent

Is this a combo washer/dryer in 1 unit? water shoud not come out if it is just a dryer. Your air coming out of the back vent hose should be hot. If your clothes comes out of your WASHER damp (more than normal) then your washer is not spin drying good enough. (worn belt, clogged drainage system).
