Double check the password, some are case sensitive. Also make sure you don't have mac filtering used on your router. If you do, you will have to enter the mac address of your TV before it will connect or turn off the mac filter. Also is your router set for DHCP or are your IP addresses manually assigned?

How to connect new devices to Thomson router (TG585 v7)

Using a command prompt and telnet:
Type in telnet 192.168.1.254 and hit Enter. If this doesn't work, then you don't have Telnet installed and will need to go to Start ? Control Panel ? Programs ? Programs and Features ? Turn Windows Features on or off ? Ensure TELNET CLIENT is checked and click OK.
When prompted, the default username is Administrator (case sensitive) and the default password is either blank or the serial number of the router (case sensitive):Click to open image

Type in "connection unbind application=SIP(TCP) port=5060" (without the quotation marks) and press Enter. If you get a 'unknown command' message returned once you press enter, then type in: "connection unbind application=SIP port=5060" (without the quotation marks)
Type in "saveall" and press Enter to apply and make this setting permanent

Cannot connect to Wireless with my Linksys WRT120N Router.

If you have 2 devices not be able to connect to it suddenly, then it is probably the router that changed, as opposed to it being the 2 devices changing at the same time. Sometimes wireless routers just go bad like that.Try a factory reset, and then set the appropriate settings back to where you need them. If that doesn't help, you likely need a new one.

I have a linksys router and i have tried to access the configuration menu. I have tried the common 192.168.1.1 with no sucess. i have even looked at my details for the ip and it is 192.168.24.1. That does...

Resetting by pressing the button for a total of sixty seconds usually works! While holding the button you can also power cycle the router once or twice. That should put the router back to default settings. Its frustrating sometimes but usually works by prolonged resetting and power cycle. Good luck!

How can we set a password to the linksys wireless-g boadband router

Power On your router after after Connecting your adapter, turn on the router, wait for few seconds and then connect the router to your PC's Lan Card Port from one of the ethernet ports (not the labelled internet port). Open your internet browser and type in http://192.168.0.1 (if it doesn't work, use http://192.168.1.1) and press enter to open the page, once it's loaded, you'll be presented with the login page, in the USERNAME box, type in admin and leave PASSWORD blank (empty) and then press Enter. Once you are logged in, go to the admin section and change your password. If Admin panel isn't available, you can look for configure or change password.
If the above method doesn't work, click this LINK and follow the instructions. Let me know if you need further help.
Good Luck.

Were having problems connecting our Wii to our router we have a Cisco E2000 router. on the Wii a screen pops up when im trying to connect that asks for a SSID n i cant find that on the rounter or anywhere...

Your SSID is the name of your wireless network, which you probably entered yourself when you set up your router. If you didn't change anything, its probably something like generic like: "ciscoxxxx" or "linksys".

How to connect my Linksys router with my wi tribe modem?? my laptop pick up the wireless signal and can connect,,it says "connected" but when you open a page it says either "invalid server...

The Linksys Wireless router is fine, but your latop is not configured for DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol). The computer is connected to the router at layer 2, whereas HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol), sits
atop the TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol) layer, and seems to be trying to
query the ISP's (Internet Service Provider) network for a nameserver (via DNS (Dynamic Name Service) protocol) that doesn't exist on the ISP's network. Configuring the laptop for DHCP and specifying no nameserver will fix this (the ISP's network will dynamically assign a DNS).

Its also possible (though a remote possibility) that your Linksys wifi router may be configured to disallow TCP/IP virtual circuits to/from your computer's IP address - but this is a really advanced
capability of your Linksys wifi router - few know this capability even exists.

Connecting multiple wifi devices to the Linksys router should be no problem, just configure them all to interact with the router using DHCP.

Lost power & now when i reset all my equipment my wlan light doesn't go on & we can't connect to the internet ???

Hi rick,

I see that there was a power outage, now your wireless will not turn ON as you mentioned.

Have you tried checking the Linksys Router settings if the Wireless radio is turned ON.

It is possible that when the power went out the Router was reset to default and may have turned OFF the Wireless Radio on the Router.

  • Next open a web browser window on the connected computer and type http://192.168.1.1 into the address bar and press enter. A window will pop up prompting you for a username and password to access the configuration page for your router. Enter admin for both the username and password.
  • You should see the Setup page.
mvincentc_43.jpg

Make sure that in the Wireless page that the Wireless SSID Broadcast is Enabled because if it is Disabled your wireless device will not detect the Router at all.

Also you try and reset the Router from behind, there should be a PINHOLE Button there that you can press and hold down for at least 30 seconds to reset the Router s settings to defaults.

If still the Wireless Light will not Turn ON then most probably the Power outage may have damaged the wireless radio on the Router.

I hope that this will help with your concern.

Have a nice day,

Need to open ports for iplay.net how do i do it

You need to be well versed in your routers GUI and the make and model. Check out your router, and go to http://portforward.com to find your make and model. Typically, pulling up a browser (Internet explorer) place 192.168.0.1 (or 192.168.1.1 if the previous doesn't work) then press enter works, if your router is Linksys or D-Link.

Here is a step by step guide for Linksys:

1. After you've entered your routers GUI, c
lick the applications & gaming link near the top of the page.

2. IPlay requires you to forward the following ports: 4990-4999. Enter the settings into the Port range forward menu.

3. Press Save settings, and you're good to go!
