Dell xps 410 recognize hdmi

I am using an HDMI to DIV-D adapter then an HDMI cord to connect my computer to a 4 port selector which then connects to a projector. When I do this my system goes to a blue screen stating error which may be caused by a new hardware device. What do I need to do so that my system recognizes this new hardware? I am able to start my system in safe mode with networking.

Could be an issues with your adapter. What resolution are you trying to send to the projector? Try lowering your resolution.

Also, are the proper video drivers loaded on your machine?

You may have left out a couple of steps.

Now, you need to configure the new display, by selecting "Control Panel" from the "Start" Menu. Then double-click the "Display" icon and click the "Settings" tab.

The manual for your HDMI TV will list the screen resolutions it supports, along with the refresh rates. Configure the resolution in the "Settings" tab, and then click the "Advanced" button to set the refresh rate.

If you are using the HDMI TV as the second monitor, you will also have to configure how it is used by Windows, according to the instructions pertaining to your video card. Most cards offer a "Clone" or "Mirror" mode, where both screens display the same content. Alternately, the "Extended Desktop" mode can be used, in which each monitor will operate independently.

Now, again, reboot your PC to apply the changes.

If you found this information helpful, please give me a big thumbs up when you rate my answer. Thanks!

More than likely it is your ethernet card that is bad. It will be easier to buy an ethernet card and install. The procedure is not hard. You will need to open your computer and sit the card in one of the open slots toward the back of the computer.

Connect one end of the HDMI cable into an available HDMI port on your TV. Take a note of the HDMI inputs numbers it's being connected to. The XPS1530 uses Vista so go to the control panel and choose the port that you have the external monitor connected to. I use an HDMI cable and need to choose both the audio and video separately in the control panel.

How to connect blu ray player hdmi to my laptop

1) Look at your laptop computer to see if you have an HDMI cable port. This port is roughly half an inch wide and provides both the HD audio and video signal. If you don't, you are going to use a DVI port on the laptop. This is the same port you use to connect monitors to your computer.

2) Plug the DVI-to-HDMI adapter into the DVI port on the laptop with the Blu-ray player. If you have an HDMI port on your laptop, you can skip this step.

3) Connect an HDMI cable to the HDMI end of the adapter. If you have an HDMI port, plug the cable directly into the HDMI port.

4) Plug the other end of the HDMI cable into the HDMI port on the HD television. Power on your television, press the "Input" button and select "HDMI." You can now see the contents from your Blu-ray player on the TV.

Exactly which port do you plug the printer into on this dell xps 410 ???

It depends on the kind of connection the printer has. Most newer printers will have a USB connection. You can plug your printer into any open USB port on the computer. Some older printers will have a parallel connection (which looks wide and narrow). Your computer will have to have a parallel port for you to be able to use your printer.

Good luck.
