Bought a ViewSonic N3000W 30 in. HDTV-Ready LCD Television about three years ago been working fine up until last week, the poblem is their are red, green, black and yellow stripes about 1 inch thick going across the screen, there is sound but you cant change the channel over with the remote control or the tv buttons, asked a few people but they dont know. please help!!
Some condesator gone bad.. remote control IR eye needs 5V voltage but now it's not there so i think you need to replace bad condesator.

Hi, I have the same problem, I already check the voltages of the power supply and all are fine. I was reading some solutions to this problem and it looks like is about some capacitors, I already check every one of them in the board of the power supply, but every one is ok, my question is wich capacitors or in which board are the capacitors to fix this problem? in the video board? or in another one? I will apreciatte all the help you can bring me!

I have 2 these with same problem, psu tested ok and inverter all capasitors changed... Still color bars..
