I had the same thing happen to mine. I looked at the hose in the water tank and the screen at the end if the hose was slimy and clogged. I took the screen off and cleaned it up, put everything back together and it works like new again. Only 2 screws and a screen.
Thank you for this tip. I found hose in the water tank and it was clog up. clear all the hair out and it working fine.
This resolved my problem and none of the Rug Doctor's troubleshooting tips even mentioned this!!
solved my problem. thank you for posting.
Yep!!! Took the spray nozzles off, etc. This was the problem- a screen inside the clean water tank Rug Doctor doesn’t even mention in their videos!!!!

To fix little or no spray, clean the screen on the end of the hose inside the clean water tank! Despite the ultra-fine mesh you pour the solution through, dog hair manages to fall into the tank still. Remove the two screws on the mesh screen and the filter is in the very front of the tank on the end of the visible hose.
My machine rug Doctor no spraying I chequeing the filters , chequeing all and no spraying
Is this your machine if not call where you rented it from don't make a bigger problem for your self if it's not yours
SOURCE: I have a rug doctor blue machine. It will not
Only two things can be wrong here, either the solution hose is plugged, kinked or undone from it's source, or the pump motor is not working. I'd try the hose first, if you can, take it off at the pump and then turn the machine on. If you get solution pumping out of the unit, then it's not the little pump motor and your problem is in the hose.
