(Costco) Elite Platinum II Spa with a Balboa VL700s topside control P/N 53896. I get 8888 showing on my topside control with no button fuctionality

I have a (Costco) Elite Platinum II Spa with a Balboa VL700s topside control P/N 53896. I've had the SPA off for a year (drained) and am now poweing it back up. I get 8888 showing on my topside control when I power up, None of the buttons work, but I have power to the control. The pump is running but I can't turn any of the jets or blower on. Do I need a new Circuit Board, Topside COntrol, or is something else wrong. After about 5 minutes I get a 83 degree reading and it just stays there but no functionality....

SOURCE: When I change the temp. setting it keeps heating at original temp

The keypad appears to working correctly.

When you alter the set temperature via the keypad the display will flash the temperature thats to be acheived, once it stops flashing the keypad will revert back to the current temperature of the water.

Hope that helps,
Ian.

SOURCE: hi have problem with canadian spa

OHS, OH, or SPA TEMP LMT Message There is an "Over Heated Spa" (OHS or OH) Water Condition.

One of the Water Temp Sensors has detected 110°F (43.3°C) Incoming Water Temp and Spa Functions are Disabled. System will Auto Reset when Water Temp is below 108°F (42.2°C). Check for Extended Pump Operation or High Ambient Temp, or contact your Dealer or Service Organization.

Spa Water Cool Down
• In order for the Spa Water Overheat Error Message to Automatically Reset and Clear, the Spa Water Must Cool to below 108°F (42.2°C).
• Check the Topside Panel Display to see if the "OHS", "OH", or "SPA TEMP LMT" Spa Water Overheat Error Message has Cleared. If the Error Message has Not Cleared, the Spa Water is still too Hot to Continue Testing.
• Either Wait for the Spa Water to Cool Below 108°F (42.2°C), or Exit Now and Retest at a Later time.

If hot tub is in sl mode. How do I change it so temperature goes up

Hi, this sounds like a Balboa pack and topside control. press the temperature button along with the light button. This should put you into the filtration mode selection. Then toggle using the temperature control buttons until you find your mode ST for standard and EC for Economy or SL for sleep. You can find more information here. How do i get my spa out of sleep mode

It would help to know what spa you have, but the most common controls out there are manufactured by Balboa Instruments. If your top-side controls only have four buttons try pressing "temp" or "set" button followed by "light" button. Once there, pressing the "light" button usually cycles through the programming. On some models the "temp" button must be pressed to confirm the selection.

I have a Balboa control board system (M2000 Programming and VL700S topside controller). I had to have the main board replaced recently because it blew up. Since then, the two speed pump is only one...

It sounds like it is 120/240 volt and that one of the lines is not working. Try turning off the breaker and turning it on again. You may have to use a tester to see where the fault is.

I need to replace my Weslo Spa Comand Panel, 4 button, ovel. will the Balboa work.

The best suggestion in this case would be to replace the spa pack and upgrade. this is a really old system. You can replace the entire system for around $500.00 and have the latest working technology along with a new topside panel, overlays, heater, system, etc. The Balboa Value Pack Retrofit kit comes with everything you need along with cables. Since you have Weslo with an oval panel, the best suggestion would be the Balboa 54219-Z Value Pack Retrofit Kit. you can get it online by clicking on the link I have provided.

Hope that helps.
