Your print driver is probably set to monochrome. Usually there are to drivers set up on your computer: a pcl5 for black/white, and a ps3 for color--or vice-versa. Right click your driver; you can change the setting in your preference or properties section.

You should be able to print on both, but I wouldn't advise it at all. The envelopes are going to jam a LOT and you WILL eventualy get a label stuck inside the machine. Possible....yes. But I don't recommend it. :)

SOURCE: wrong count

You find that answer out on copytechnet.com. There are authorized Toshiba reps available on there to answer your question.

I don't work on Toshiba unfortunately. If I did I would give you the answer.

SOURCE: wrong count

FYI, if copy 1 side of A4, then is count as 1. If both sides, count as 2.
If copy 1 side of A3, then is count as 2. If both sides, count as 4.
That's the default settings on the MFP.

If u want to be copy 1 side of A3 and count as 1, u need to adjust the setting mode.
Press 08 and ON MFP, Enter 346, change "1" to "0".

SOURCE: Toshiba e-studio 3511 has printing issued on one

These copiers have serious toner dust issues. Light copies are usually caused by dust in the optics (the mirrors) and on the laser glass.
Take off the main copy glass and gently clean all the mirrors and scan bulb underneath it - be careful.
If you remove the drum unit and look inside the cavity you took it out of you will probably find a huge toner mess. the laser glass is situated in this cavity and needs to be cleaned - just clean whatever you can see...

What can i do if my copier is not giving clear copies

Depends what you mean by 'not clear copies'? Is this in copying or printing?
If not clear whenh copying, try cleaning the glass.
If it is not clear colour copies, because the colors are not superimposed accurately it may be you need to align the color system (see Printer Services)
If it black text, it may be the same reason, or a new cartridge or ink supply is needed. Ot it may need a good clean up on the roller or drums, or maybe just old age.

Can I join a Toshiba 281c to a home group network?

It can be worked with a desktop pc having windows 7 straightly configured to 281c and if the device is shared. Then u can access the desktop pc and browse 281c and send prints. Better to start with as a simple peer to peer connection use TCP/IP and observe that it can be accessed via Internet browser, If the copier utility page appear alright that means ur connected. Good Luck!!

Cant print in color with e studio 281c I can copy in color

The 281c can be set to print to black only as a cost saving measure. The printer control panel is accessed through your browser (using the IP address of the printer) and the setting is made there. You should be able to override this through the printer properties in windows, but I have found that the PCL5 driver worked to switch between B/W and colour, while the PCL6 driver did not. So, for me the easy solution was to install the PCL5 driver and use that.

I have a toshiba e studio 281c and a it has all new toner in it. But is the part of the writing on whatever is printed is fading out. It's very light. This problem exist whether it is printed straight...

By the sounds of it the laser slit glass needs cleaned. . These machines run quite dirty so dust and toner tend to fall on the the laser unit. Either that or a dwv unit is depleted of developer material. If ur not familiar in taking the copier apart I wouldn't try it lol.
