There is not an easy fix for this sadly. "Head temperature sensor rank" is typically a case of calling a technician or chucking it in the bin depending on how much the printer is worth to you.

Testimonial: "Thanks for comment. I had to order a new printhead. It's cheaper for me to fix the printer than to buy a new one and get scalped on newer ink cartridge models that have not yet "after market" reinkable solutions. "

I put in the old printhead the faulty one had replaced (bad color on the old one) and the error went away.... so I ordered a new printhead. I "standardized" my office printers by adding a ip4500 (same cartridges) so in theory I could swap print heads to do some copying. I wouldn't mind paying good money for any printer in the future IF: 1) cartridges could easily be reinked (like the MP530/iP4500), 2) It were to be as user serviceable as possible. There was a time when I could get a new MP530 for $60+ on internet after I had paid $99 for one. My son bought it but I would have bought a few to have parts...

How to fix error 5B00 on Canon Mg5350

The print head is not installed [1401], or it is not properly installed (Print head temperature sensor error [1403] / Faulty EEPROM data of the print head [1405]).
If you wish to get more details about this; visit the site linked here; after an hour.

Does anyone know how to rectify the TEC B-SX4 head temperature error? it's the correct version printhead for the model of MLB and the correct firmware, but problem still exists.

This excess temperature may be caused by a temperture detector.
Ther are two detectors on a Toshiba Tec Printer.
- On the print head.
- In the top part of the label sensor mecanism.
You cna check if they are working when going in the adjust set parameter setting.
You can read Head temp and air temp
If one of them is not working you will not be able to adjust the temperature. Worst you'll have the message Head excess temperature message.

Canon MP660 U052 Error

Remove and reinstall your Printer Cartridges. Else, you will need to take your printer to a Canon Service Center to have them replace your faulty Print Head / Temperature Sensor that is causing the U052 Error.

We are bakeing and every time we set it in a couple it shuts down and F_3 apears what would cause this?thanks 4 help

first thing to do would be to test the oven tempreture sensor by conducting an ohms test on it at room tempreture should be reading between 1000-1100 ohms if it were less then replace it this fixes the f3 error code only 90 percent of the time on other occasions it could be both the tempreture sensor and the control board 10 percent of the time but seeing how the tempreture control sensor is far cheaper test that first and if it fails replace the sensor and also make sure you check the wiring to the sensor and to the control as well it says directly in your service manual this

F3 Open oven temperature sensor Check wiring harness, replace oven temperature sensor if necessary

if you have any further questions message me back and please also remember when our chat has fully concluded to rank how this opinion has helped it allows me to continue helping others in similar situations Thanks again Rick

THS Error on warrantee printer tally serial printer

The print head operating temperature may need to be calibrated for the operating environment of the printer.
The print head cable may be damaged or incorrectly plugged into the print head or logic board.
The print head may have a fault.
There may be a fault on the logic board or interconnect board

The first thing that I would recommend doing would be to calibrate the print head operating temperature, this can be done in the following way;

·Start with the printer powered OFF and at normal room temperature
·Hold down the ONLINE and SETUP button and power the printer back on
·Keep the ONLINE and SETUP button held down until the display reads ‘PRINT TEMP. CAL’ along the top line
·Press the button under ‘TEMP CAL’ (button 3)
·Using buttons 2 or 3 change the Temp Setting to match the temperature of the room the printer is used in (change this value by at least 1 degree even if it is correct to force the printer into recalibrating.
·Then press SET to save the settings.

Once the Temperature has been recalibrated power the printer OFF and back on again, this should resolve the problem.

If once the print head temperature has been calibrated the printer displays ‘Head Hot’ or alternatively displays a ‘THS’ error this indicates the printer has a hardware fault. The next step would be to identify which part may be causing the problem.
I would recommend first checking the carriage cable to ensure this is not damaged and makes good contact at each end. Then you would need to look at a logic board or print head failure.
