After downloading ios 6 on my Iphone 4s, I tried connecting to itunes and it gave me an error message saying it can not connect, need to download the latest itunes version, whichI tried to do, but did not work?

I want to download yahoo messenger. But i am failure to do this. Becouse iphon need ios 6.0 to download yahoo messenger... That is my problem.. I cannot dowenload ios 6.0. Thank you..!!

depends on the model of iPhone you have:
iOS 6 is possible only on iPhone 3GS / 4 / 4S / 5
iPhone 1 / 2 / 3 are too slow for iOS 6
- There are two ways to update the iOS version of your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch - via connecting the device to iTunes on a computer
- or directly from within the device, but only since iOS 5, it is possible to update the iOS version without the need to connect the iOS device to a computer (over-the-air update)
just go to: settings - general - software update
