My DVD RECORDER DMR-E70V KT 3K A033056 2003 JQA IS JAPANESE MANUFACTURED UNIT AND HENCE THE LANGUAGE OF THE SET IS JAPANESE, WHICH I AM UNABLE TO CONVERT INTO ENGLISH AND WHILE TRYING SO I HAVE ALSO LOCKED THE REMOTE CONTROL OF THE UNIT. WHAT SHOULD I DO TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM.

I figured out, unlike all the other posts, you don't have an enter button. But Instead, you would hit the 2 and OK button at the same time for a few seconds. I had the RC1 message and I did the 1 with OK and it worked. so if you have RC2, you should hit the 2 and OK. Should work!!

Your player and recorder are, most likely, on different codes. Press and hold ENTER and 2 on the remote for at least two seconds and you should be home and dry!

The best solution is pressing number 1 and ENTER button in the same time. That's the solution.

Try holding enter button and 1 together on the r/c for at least 3 secs

Thank you Mr. Ernesto half of my problem is over I have unlocked the remote of the unit, but still I am unable to switch the language of the unit to English. What should I do next ?, to convert the language of the unit to English from japanese.
Still no clue for the change of language trouble on my DVD RECORDER COMBO.
