My HP deskjet 5550 will not grab paper even when the tray is full. The rollers move, then return to their original position and the lights continue flashing. It has done this for a month now

If you can see the rollers spin, get a q-tip wet with alcohol and as the rollers spin stick the q-tip lightly against the roller and clean them. See if that fixes your problem.

The yellow light and the green light underneath it are blinking and we cannot get them to stop blinking. The printer won't print!

Flashing yellow is a universal sign for your out of paper and flashing green means you have a page pending make sure you have the right printer selected if you have more then one in your network and if you done have the verison Patch of your printer saved on your computer you can go to the manufactures website and they will have it
