I am installing a 60 watt am/fm cd radio in a street rod. Would like an instruction sheet on attaching to an after market wireing harness. Has a red power wire and a box with a black wire to ground with another wire to memory? Can you ground and isolate the memory wire? Radio is a durabrand 60 watt.

The easy way is to buy a 5$ harness from pepboys or a auto stereo store ask them a harness for your make and model car to hook up a after market radio that harness will plug into your factory harness also the new harness will give you a wire diagram telling you what wires are what if you dont know about what wires are what on your after market radio they are sometimes listed on the top of the radio its real easy most radios are red power yellow aux -only power when ignition is on and black ground speakers are most of the time one color for all negitive and multi colored for positive good luck I hope this helps good luck....

2005 Pontiac Sunfire aftermarket audio system install

You can go to Walmart and in the stereo/speaker department they have dash kits for different vehicles.Just read the box to determine your vehicle. Also, they have amp kits for different wattage amps, but if you had rather buy each item you will need, a Power Wire (to the battery 4g or 8g), a ground wire (to the chassey), a remote wire that should run to a wire from your cd player saying remote (any size is fine), speaker wire (14g or 16g is fine) a set of RCA cables, and if your cd player dosnt have RCA jacks you will have to have a converter.

Cd player in my 1996 pontiac sunfire dont work but the radio does

My husband's 96 sunfire did the same thing as well. We tried everything to fix it, right down to opening it up and checking it. They just burn out over time. Unfortunately there's not much you can do, and to have it replaced by the dealer will cost more than your car is probably worth, being almost 14 years old. Do yourself a favor, go to your local walmart, you can pick up a decent CD player (with an mp3 player input, so no FM transmitter!) for about 50 bucks, and they are easy to install. It's the only thing that worked for us. Sorry I couldn't be of more assistance!

I ran my battery dead and now my cd player wont work, just the radio. I installed a new battery on my 2002 sunfirwe and now the cd player does not work. It has a cd in it but will not eject or play.

Betty,
Disconnect the negative battery cable at the battery for 10 minutes. Reconnect the terminal and recheck CD player.
Let me know and we can go from there.
Regards,
