My iPAQ won't turn on no matter what i do.

When I try to turn on my compaq iPAQ it does nothing. I've tryed charging it but all it does is heat up. Please help me!!!!!!!

    my pocket pc wont turn on. I have charged it but nothing is happening. When I connected it to my computer, the device showed as unknown and windows suggested that I need to replace the device. Do you agree?

If you are saying it heats up the it sounds to me like the battery is not holding a charge anymore. Try to remove the batter and place the pocket pc in its cradle and turn it on if it works then you can be sure it's the battery. You can probably pick up a batery on Ebay real cheap. Or swing by your local BatteryPlus store and they can test the old battery and probably buy a new one in the store. I hope this helps Have a great day.

Could be shorting the charging unit try putting and ohm meter to it and the bettery see if you have luice at the source the the receptor and the destination

I´ve a pda hp h5455 that don´t start , i´ve tried to do a hard reset and charge it via USB and nothing hapens
To do the hard reset, while on battery (NOT A/C) power, hold down the two outside front-panel buttons (Calendar and iTask), While holding them, press the reset button with the stylus. Keep these buttons all pressed until the image on the screen begins to fade (about 4 seconds), then you can release the reset and application buttons. To restart your iPAQ, you must then plug the unit into A/C power, or do a Soft Reset by again, pressing the reset button with the stylus.

Compaq iPAQ 3850 Not charging/turning on
Try this - don't give up Leave it charging, even if it takes three days. I sold one a few years ago on ebay and the buyer was insistent it wouldn't charge. Eventually it did start charging and there were no more problems.

Lying ipaq H5550!
It's a problem with either the memory board or the button board. With my h5550, the bottom buttons started to stop working and eventualy the PPC stoped charging all together. You can find parts for it online. If all the buttons are working fine, then it's most likely the motherboard. Otherwise it should be the button board.

Try this, take the ipaq off the cradle, turn the ipaq off (if you can), restart the desktop, put the ipaq back in thc cradle, turn the ipaq on, and restart ROM update again.
