players now come equipped with a color screen that can display JPEG and BMP
digital images. This is a nice feature for those who like to carry their
precious digital memories with them. In addition to offering photo viewing
capabilities, color displays are brighter and easier to read than their
monochrome counterparts. Also look out for players with crystal-clear OLED
screens, which offer better viewing angles and lower power consumption (though
they are harder to read in bright sunlight). Increasingly, MP3 players are even

small for extended video viewing (for that, try a PVP instead), it can be a

I just bought a new Ematic 2GB MP3 player for my son for Christmas, we installed the software and driver and downloaded about 50 songs from my library. The next time we connected the MP3 player to the computer to charge it, the saftey hardware removal icon did not pop up in the task bar like it did the first time I connected it and it said it was fully charged but quickly we realized it was not. I am not able to get my computer to recognize the player as an portable device. I did maintenance on the driver and received the message that everything was installed correctly. Should I just take it back? I got my father the same MP3 player, he has not opened it yet, I asked him to wait and see what this one does. I am running a 98OS, the paperwork said it can work with 98, 2000, XP, etc.
I emailed the company and they told me to email a copy of the receipt, contact information, and description of problem and they will verify the purchase and replace the product. If it is before 15 days after the purchase, you can return it to the store. E-matic said it was a defective product.
