We have a 50 inch Plasm TV. In the last year it has been in the shop 3 times for the same problem. You turn the TV off and it makes a clicking noise. It either clicks a few times than it will come back on after a few mins. Or it will not come back on at all unless you unplug it and let it set. Everytime it has done this there is a buzzing noise. Each time the TV brakes down the noise has gotten louder. This time there is a back order on the parts. There has to be a problem with this model or there would not be a back order on parts

I believe what you have there is a Philips 55pp9502/17 and with hose symptoms it's most likely the Smd capacitor 2009 on small signal board is leaking. Replace 2009 using 319801634710. Locate 2009 on the flyback side of the ssb, above the marking for ic7011 which is absent. Caution: remove ac power for at least 10 seconds before removing the Ssb from the chassis.
If you're not that good with SMT (surface mount technology), like some of us techs simply replace the ssb as a module, Philips p/n# 310432815384...

SOURCE: no picture, no sound, just chirping noise coming from back
NO - - signal did nothing to the set... Sounds like a shorted HOT (horizontal output transistor) and the feedback your hearing (chirp) is on the horz. transformer as it tries repeatedly to startup... Don't allow it to do that for too long...

Your best bet is to try local TV shops to see if they have any and look on e-bay you may find one there or Place a add in Paper on wanted for tv ?You never know when someone has the same set as yours and lighting hits and most shops sell used screens ,ect what ever is good lefted on set.Have you look under repair service that is listed here on FixYa? Contact some of these shops listed on it! maybe someone has it.Good Luck .

i had the same problem. replaced the bulb and still nothing. the noise you hear is the color wheel going bad. if it doesnt spin no picture the tv shuts down. un fortunately i have yet to find a color wheel for the tv. the maganvox parts company will sell you an entire light engine (color wheel included) for $1200. not worth it to me. might as well get a new flat screen.
