We have been having the same problem and no-one seems to know what the problem is. The local repair agent wants $200 just look at it and then there are no guarantees he can fix it. He suggested it might be a chip inside and if that is the case it will be $1000 approx to fix plus labour (New TV might be cheaper). We have noticed that the problem is now only happening when the TV is cold and gets better when it warms up, which is in direct contrast to suggestions that the problem is a cooling problem with a certain chip inside becoming over heated and needs to be cooled!! Our TV is approx 2 years old. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. We have been having the same problem and no-one seems to know what the problem is. Fix your tv with black screen blinking light, popping sound noise. ... Watch QueueQueue ... TV Black Screen - Repair LCD LED PLASMA - Problems SONY LG .... I have a 60 inch samsung DPL tv how can I stop the humming or ... What do I do if my tvturns on but its just a black screen so sound no picture?.
I can tell you that I had my plasma screen replaced in the 4th year. The tech told me that the replacement panel was much more reliable. You may be looking at replacing the plasma panel...(which may be more expensive than replacing the whole unit??).
ONE OF TWO THINGS, THE LINE COULD POSSIBLY BE FIXED WITH A SCAN BOARD, BUT NOT LIKELY, PROBABLY NEEDS A SCREEN REPLACED, THE OTHER RED STUFF CAN BE FIXED WITH A X-BOARD REPLACEMENT, BETTER OFF TO BUY A NEW TV
Check this link to find the LJ41-02759A board for your TV. These boards fails quite often and the TV will power ON but with the same symptoms as yours.
not necessarily, sometimes the connectors that feed the screen get old and dirty
If you have some electronic skills, open the TV and clean the connectors around where you see the symptoms and you may have a good chance to get if fix by doing that... good luck
Well, as per my last posting, I thought I would share. The problem of the bottom half of my 42 inch Samsung Plasma blacked out - meant a trip to the local TV repair shop. I have to say, they were great. I took it in and they were able to fix it after replacing a part - had my TV back in about a week. Cost was approx. $300. This was well worth it, considering how much I had paid for this TV only a few years ago. I had the repair done last month and so far, it's been great. Sorry, but I can't remember the name of the part.
Sounds like a common voltage adjustment with samsung plasmas,I would call a service center these are things if you dont have experience you shouldnt attempt yourself
