You must change the tag. Every mp3 file has what they call a tag it is info. on the file.. Only way to do this is on your computer, load file into a tag editor and change to what you want. I do know of a great mp3 editor if your interested.

try this editor, it does alot of different things to your music files,
you need the tag editor or batch transformer if you want to do alot of
mp3s at one time. I think it is a free one, altho the website changes
al the time, i am sure it is free to try http://www.rocknaudio.com/solutions.htm hope this
helps you out ! Try changing the bit rate also to 96 or 128.... this will give you more files on your player !

All downloaded music is "unknown" artist, title etc.

Hey, I am not sure about ubunta but in Windows, you need a program that "tags" the MP3. Just google MP3 tag editor and you will find some programs that do this. Again, not sure about ubunta but give it a shot. What this program does is let you edit the MP3 to the fullest. Song title, artist, album, everything...Check it out....

Problem with my ripped music

I clearly understand your problem.....the best way to sort it would be to create a new music folder...put all album folders separately in this new folder....rename songs in the respective albums folder and then sync this folder to your player....try with a couple of songs first...if it works you can change your entire library as mentioned above....a difficult job...but helps manage your music better..:)
