Ipod error code 0xE8000084 - Apple iPod touch

Shut down the iPad. Hold both on/off button AND Home button until you get White apple. Wait for it to restart and you should be back in business.

I fixed it! I had a working set up. I synced my iPod touch and update the software, then hooked it back upto my car stereo. I received error code 02-66. I disconnected the iPod and cable from the radio. Turned off the radio restarted the iPod. Turned radio back on with main menu displaying on iPod I hooked it back up to the Pioneer radio. Vuala! It works. Hope this helps.

the problem might be that ypur running it for the wrong ipod, or either you messed up during the proceess. either way trying doing it again.

JUST SHUT IT OFF AND THEN CONNECT YOUR USB CABLE TO YOUR PC AND IPOD, THEN HOLD THE HOME AND POWER BUTTON UNTIL YOUR SEE I TUNES ICON WITH THE USB CONNECTOR RIGHT UNDER IT, WHEN YOU SEE IT LET GO THEN IT'LL SYNC INTO ITUNES AND JUST FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS.

I had the same exact problem with the 4100DVD I got on 5/01/09. I reset my Ipod via the Itunes software. This will wipe your Ipod clean and reinstall everything. I was a bit leary about this but gave it a shot and viola! It is working just as it was when I first purchased 5 days ago.

Make sure you back up your Ipod first. After the reset, it will ask if this is a new install or restore. Select restore and everything is back again, including downloaded games and app. (I have an Ipod Touch)

No, it simply means there was a communication error.
Disconnect the cable from the iPod.
Once iPod main menu is displayed, connect the cable again.
Reset the iPod.

If you read your owner's manual, page 45, it states "ERROR 1 = IPOD STOPPED SENDING DATA FOR SOME REASON"

Solution: Check connection with Ipod
