My Bosch Dishwasher doesn't clean

However carefully I clean the filters, stack the contents, use high quality dishwasher tabs etc the machine leaves food debris all over the plates and inside the machine casing. Any stray rice grains or spinach causes particular problems. I can't work out how the food debris can actually pass through the filters and be pumped out. I am clearing the plates so thoroughly now that I might as well wash them by hand! I have never had this with other makes of dishwasher that I have had before. This was an expensive machine, it is only a few months old and I am thoroughly fed up with it.

This is the worst dishwasher I have ever owned. It spews dirt all over the dishes in the final rinse. I clean out the filter every time and prewash all the dishes.

My Bosch dishwasher works great through the cycle but leaves water in the bottom. -why?

Hi Jane, water in the bottom of the dishwasher results from clogs in the filter or in the drain hose. Please make sure that you have disconnected the appliance from the mains before cleaning the filter! If your dishwasher is displaying an error code please check the meaning of the error message.

All the jets must be clean especially the drive jets at the ends of the wash arms, these drive the arms around thus allowing jets of water to reach every piece of crockery.

Bosch dishwasher leaving food stains

You may be experiencing this problem due to the soap you use or too much soap. Run a cycle without soap but put a cup of white vinegar in the machine. Then just use Cascade dishwashing packets. If your filters are clean and the pump is working that should take care of your problem. Do NOT use the inexpensive soaps on the market and especially don't use more than what is recommended. This leaves a film on your dishes and will cause it not to clean or rinse well. (I don't have any connection to Cascade - I just know it works very well. Costco brand packets also work well.)

Dishwasher never cleans, glasses gritty dirty -- Bosch terrible s

you obviously need to check and make sure that you've cleaned your filter system. it needs to be cleaned every couple of months. and also make sure that your washing fans, the ones that spray water, aren't clogged. they need to be washed out and de-clogged regularly as well... i had this same problem.. but it worked fine once i cleaned the system.

New Bosch dishwasher mold before cycle

The Bosch is a very good dishwasher and it is very airtight. I would suggest you NOT leave the dishes inside that long, and always use the Power Scrub Plus cycle if you have it. It will get the water as hot as possible so mold does not continue to grow in the plumbing and filters.

It is NOT the dishwasher unit causing the problem.

My Bosch Dishwasher doesn't clean

Check the following to address this issue--

1. No water
Make sure you get water to the dishwasher. Check to see if the water shut-off valve (located under the sink) is open. If you get water to the dishwasher, but there is still no water inside during the fill cycle, the problem might be with a faulty water valve (located at the bottom of the dishwasher, behind the kick panel, on either side), in which case replace the water valve.

2. Not enough water
If there is not enough water, the dishes would not get cleaned. This could be caused by a partially closed water shut-off valve (located under the sink), or a faulty dishwasher water valve (located at the bottom of the dishwasher, behind the kick panel, on either side).

3. Clogged spay arms
There is usually two, sometimes three spray arms in a dishwasher. Make sure there is no debris blocking the holes inside each spray arm.

4. Water temperature is too low
To get the best results, the water has to be at 120 degrees Fahrenheit when entering the dishwasher.

5. Not enough soap
If you only fill one part of the soap cup, try adding soap to both parts.

6. Smoky film on dishes and glasses
This problem occurs due to excessive calcium build up inside the dishwasher. Try cleaning you dishwasher using a dishwasher cleaner.

they must have changed the way they treat the water in your area. those spots are caused by hard water. www.dishwasherfilter.com has a product out for this problem. it filters the water going into your dishwasher leaving them spot free and crystal clear with every load. you will love the way your dishes look.

Bosch dishwasher

Although I previously posted with the same problem of a film on the dishes after cleaning, I did find a section in the owner's manual which solved my problem. Lift up the rinse aid cap on the inside door - the factory setting is on "4". The rinse aid works in conjunction with your local water, which has variations in it's hardness or softness. When your dishes are streaky, lower the rinse aid setting to 1 or 2. If your dishes are spotted, raise the rinse aid setting higher.
