AVery 9100 I have never been able to print a label with this printer. It constantly flashes the orange status light even with new correctly inserted labels.

Also, what I did was to first back all of the labels out and back into the reel. Turn machine off, then back on. With the peel lever down, as mentioned above, begin to load the labels as shown. The light will blink and it will make a noise as it senses the label. It will begin to draw the label in and you need to make sure you create tension on the labels as they are being pulled in. I accidentally did this by holding pressure against the reel, and sure enough, the thing pulled the first label into place and quit frickin blinking!!! Labels printed fine afterwards!

Had the same problem, position the peel lever to the down postion but don't use the peel feature and relaod the label. This stoped the blinking amber light when loading labels of all sizes. Hope this helps

Avery label printer 9100 won't print

I have the same printer and usually when this happens I am able to flip the lever on the side to put it into auto peel mode and push the feed button on the front and that usually works and makes the light go green. It was explained to me that if the label stock is old it will have a hard time recognizing it. Sometimes I have to pull out the labels and re-insert the labels to get them to work properly. I hope this helps.

Constant amber means -

1. The cover open sensor is active. Press top cover to close
and lock.
or
2. Printer has a syntax or command error. Check program
and resend print job.

Hope this helps

Blinking amber light will feed labels but doesn't print on them

I have had the same problem and just got my printer working. I moved the peel lever to the lower postion and the printer now works without any problem. The user guide says to postion the lever to the up position (inactive) but that caused the amber blinking lights (not recognizing the label properly)when loading labels. Hope this helps
