My Ilo 1GB Player isn't playing songs correctly...

My Ilo 1GB MP3 player is uploading all my songs to the player (about 211 songs) and is still under about half of its full holding capacity. I look on the songs in the player and it says they are all there, but when I play regularly it'll skip some and go from like 2 to 8 and 54 to 72 and ect... I can go into the song list I have and access the songs that won't work, but its like its paused and wont play at all. I keep pressing play and it still doesn't. Also I've been played it on random and noticed it would play a song that didn't work and reset the whole player. Would deleting all the files in the player from the computer help?? If any helpful solutions please e-mail me at [email protected]. (Given just incase my e-mail isn't shown elsewhere.)

I have the same problem. The songs are loaded in the menu but they won't play. I just skips them.

A solution to this problem would be greatly appreciated.

The songs are in the wrong format

There are two ways to format an Mp3 player - one on the computer itself, and one in Windows Media Player. Both methods will end up erasing all the songs on the player, but the player will be "good as new" after that. Sometimes reformatting in this manner will override the player's native formatting and cause problems - this can be reversed in most cases by updating the player's firmware. Firmware upgrades are available from most manufacturers' websites.

WARNING: The following procedures will erase all songs on the player.

Check if the file system is NTFS. If yes, format it to FAT or FAT32. - Connect player to computer, double-click my computer, right click on icon of mp3 player and select format. This only applies to Windows-based computers.
You can also format the player in Windows Media Player itself:
Connect your Mp3 player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "name of Mp3 player here 1GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything.

I can download music on my mp3 but when i go to play it it says its empty

Ilo player must be synchronized, coping and pasting files is not enough:

  1. Start Windows Media Player and select following menus: "File.", then choose "Add to Library." then the "Add" button. Then, look for the folder where your keep the mp3s to upload.
  2. Plug the Ilo MP3 player into USB.
  3. Click the "Sync" tab that you find at the top of Windows Media Player . You will find the Ilo MP3 player on the right side of Windows Media Player. If Ilo is not ther, then right-click on Sync tab and click "Refresh Devices."
  4. Click "Library" then "Songs." on Windows Media Player . Highlight the son songs, and choose "Add to Sync List."
  5. Click "Start Sync" button that will appear at the bottom right corner of Windows Media Player. The songs will then be uploaded to the Ilo MP3 player.

E260 player won't read some songs

Check if the size of the disk is actually what they say it is because I have seen where 1gb was written on an mp3 player whereas it was stretched, e.g, 128mb might be stretched to 1gb, so whenever you put songs that exceeds 128mb the other ones will not play at all. It has happened to me several times.

Ilo 1gb mp3 player

install the ilo driver cd that came with your ilo. Because you never know, not all ilo mp3 players have the same software.

Thats just my opinion, hopefully it works

Mp3 player won't play

your ILO has somehow lost its file structure. look for a tiny pinhole to reset the device. if none, then remove batteries to attempt reset. if still no songs, then firmware upgrade if possible or copy file structure (using windows) from a friend's ILO.
