I flashed this phone wit software purchased from a british company to unlock it and this happened. The main screen will show the motorola bootup splash screen and then goes white, the outside screen (small one) works fine, when I enter the bootloader mode the main screen displays pertinent data, it's just blank when it is booted up all the way. It blacks out as it should when in active and when a button is pushed or it is connected to the computer it lights up white but there is no graphic display... I have tried loading several programs on it, and the outside screen displays properly but the main screen does not. I need to take care of this so that I can unlock the phone to change it over to my current carrier.
SOURCE: Motorola Razr V3M's external display not showing wallpaper. iTunes help too!!??
As far as I know only razr v3i has i tunes. as far as the external display not showing your wallpaper as the internal screen i'm not sure except if it dosen't show the time and stuff on the external display your screen's connector for your display may be loose if so thier should be a solved problem for that.

I had this problem too. My razrs screen would just go white every 15 minutes maybe, and i would have to turn it off and back on.There was a white line at the bottom of the screen also, so i went to http://direct.motorola.com/hellomoto/motosupport/source/SoftwareUpdateSummary.asp?country=&language=&web_page_name=SUPPORT&strCarrierId=US%20Cellular&strPhone=V3c&strCable=Mini%20USB%20Data%20Cable and downloaded thee software update. after it was finished the white line went away the screen never went white and it fixed everything!

The display should still be there, but the backlight is off. What you need to do is get the display under a bright desk lamp and find the setting to turn the back light back on.
Open the phone, hit the center button between the arrows, find "Settings" with the arrows, press the top left button (thats select, as the hard to see screen says).
Now navigate with the arrows through settings to "Other settings", (hit top left button again), "Initial setup" (button again), "backlight" (again), and choose 20 seconds. Right now it is on "off", which makes it so hard to see.
Hope that helps.

I would first try resetting the phone through the settings menu. Make sure you backup your data first, since the reset will wipe it clean.
If that doesn't work, you most likely have a loose cable inside of the phone. You can take it apart yourself and find the culprit, or take it to a shop for a cheap repair.

Hello, your firmware became corrupt. You need to go to a service center and have the device flashed. It should take only 15 min to flash and should be covered under warranty by the provider or manufacture. If you have no service center near by or its not covered under warranty for whatever reason, check my profile and im sure we can help you.
