The AD that I purchased my brand new Explorer ii 16570 V serial number claims that it does NOT come with an instruction manual. Is this true? I have the warranty book and the tag however.

My red hour hand doesn't stay the same time difference . Sometimes it's two hours behind BST and sometimes six!

mcdevito75 here, Sounds like your watch is showing a different time zone, refer to your owners manual or vist a locl jeweler for adjustment on timeing, setting your watch. Your watch may be set up to show different world time zones, if so, you may have hit a button and now your watch is showing time in a different time zone as an example London / New York.

Match the year of my Rolex Explorer 1 from the serial number

I would expect Rolex to have a record of all their watches and if you contact your nearest dealer, they should be able to help you.

You can find a store guide on their web site "rolex.com"

Setting the alternative time (red) hand on the Rolex Explorer II

Simply unscrew the crown and then turn it clockwise (or counter-clockwise). The 24-hour hand should jump one hour at a time in either direction. If you pull the crown out to the next notch, the date will change. If you pull the crown to the 3rd position, it will set the regular hour and the minute hand.

I hope this helps!

Setting the independent hour hand on a Rolex Explorer II

It should be the 3rd position on the crown: 1st date, 2nd hour, 3rd time zone. And don't take it to a "jeler" like jamison said. If you cannot do this watch is fake.

Rolex GMT Master II date changing after midnight

If it still under warranty take it back to rolex, other wise take it to an indpendent watchmaker they should be able to fix it for a small fee. The watch probably doesnt need a service yet if it is new.
