The fuse bos should be int he back left of the trunk under the carpet on the side. Peel back the carpet from the side...slowly and you should find it there.

SOURCE: 2000 bmw 323i-shakes and clanking

hey man, i had the same problem with my 325i (clankins sound on cold start-up) i took it to the dealership to have a look they diagnosed it wrong telling me a pulley is cracked and quoted me a ridiculous amount to fix it so, i decided to have a look 4 myself and i found that a pulley was loose the pulley looks similar to that of a cog of a bike it has 1 bolt in the center, that bolt was loose so all i did was tighten it and it solved the clanking sound , give it a shot it might work for you.

SOURCE: how to add transmission fluid to 2000 bmw 740il

Hey

They don't put a fill tube on them . It's suppose to be life time fluid. Must be filled from the fill hole and the plug is on the right rear side of the trans.

Hope this has helped

2001 BMW 740iL. I cut a new key motor spins, lights come on, but engine will not start.

Question edited for clarity.
Question moved from MISC to BMW 740iL.

Does the new key have a transponder chip in it? Did you check? If it does, you need to reset the alarm and immobilizer, if not you need a proper key and not a Valet Key.

How do i find the fuel pump relay switch on 2000 bmw 740il

I do not have the 740IL manual, but generally the fuel pump relay is either on the right side in the trunk above the battery or behind the glove box. (there is usually a little card indicating which relay it is)

BMW convertible (325ic) E36 will not start-security system

security systems simply get between the key and the engine. The wire that is your engine run circuit is cut and and rerouted through the alarm module. Find this alarm module, find the two wires that have the same color code that are spliced into the two wires off the nodule. At this point, Do'nt cut them, jump them to each other and see if it will start. Alarm systems work on the time, pressure theory. In truth , the alarn wiring is stpid and simple. The secret is to put pressure on the thief by limiting the time he has to locate the wiring and bypass it by making alot of noise and flashing lights. Take your time and you can find and figure out which wires were cut and soliced into the module. If you have any questions, let me know.@ [email protected].

Tranmission failsafe program problem

im sorry to say but it is kinda common for the trans to go out and need replaced on the e-39, you would first want to have it scanned and see if there is anything the dealership or an approved independant shop can do for you based on the codes, good luck
