It sounds like the overheat safety stat is cutting the oven off.
This is prevent the oven overheating and catching fire.
They can go faulty and operate prematurely, causing the prob u are experiencing.
If it is built in , make sure it has adequate ventilation, as this can cause the prob.
Also check to see if it has an external cooling fan fitted, these can fail, and again cause the prob.
They are usually fitted under the top cover of the oven, and designed to keep the oven cool.
It should come on shortly after turning the oven on
These things are the most likely cause of the prob.
plz rate my solution.
Thanks.

The safety stat by the way is also fitted at the top normally, but sometimes at the rear.

It is about 1" or so and has a wire in and out of it

    Hi again.

If you feel competent enough to tackle it your self, you will have to removethe oven from the housing if it is bult in, and prceed step by step, it is a process of elmination.,

Otherwise call an engineer in, and tell him (her) what I have suggested it could be, then you won't get ripped off.

Oven not reaching temperature

Try turning off the 40 amp double breaker and turning it back on. If you have a volt meter or multimeter verify that it is the correct voltage. If all that is fine come back and ask again. Fill in important details like that so that the next person helping can narrow it down further

Inner glass has fallen out

Have an appliance repairman check if the oven is still under warranty and if any recalls on the door are in force.

Hi can you help me my when i turn it on it reached temperature then triped. Reset the trip switch turned the oven on again and within couple of minuets it happened again. We turned it off and have not used...

Prob your cooling fan...it comes on to keep the appliance at a constant temp and if it doesnt it will trip out. Try turning on ur grill and you should hear the fan come on straight away, if not then you will need to replace it.

Hope that helps.

My b180ss oven will not come on.the fan and light are ok.

I would definately say that the oven element needs replacing.
You will find this located at ther rear of the the oven compartment behind a removeable cover.

Baumatic oven not heating up. Grill and fan fine.

if it is the b180, the answer (having just fixed this) is really simple.

The coily bit is the oven element - it will have gone. A new one from eBay cost me about 6 quid.
[WHEN IT ARRIVES !]

Turn the power off.
Inside the oven use a philips screwdriver to remove the 4 screws (KEEP THEM !)
You will see a coily thing and a fan.

You unscrew 3 more screws (2 on the left and 1 on the right).
(KEEP THESE TOO!)

now ... bit tricky, have the new one inside the oven and take each wire off one at a time and put it on the new element.

Screw it back on but DONT put the last panel back in.

Turn the oven on maximum for about 2 minutes and see it glow red.

Turn the oven off. Make a cup of tea and have a couple of biscuits while admiring how good you are and waiting for the element to cool down!!!

Put the final panel back in place. Whole thing (including a cup of tea) takes about half an hour.

Baumatic b180 oven

The oven cabinet is likely built for several different models, which means that the case could have been built with an extra hole or two that aren't used on your model. This a normal manufacturing technique for mass-product factories. I see from the Baumatic website that several of their models do use a meat thermometer probe, but even if you bought a probe you couldn't use it your oven. Your model doesn't have the correct circuit board and control panel that the oven needs to use the probe. In any case, if you need to order parts from the manufacturer or would like a downloadable Owners Manual for your model, they are available at this website link: http://www.baumatic.co.uk/products/discontinued-models/builtinovens/B185SS-B Hope that helps! ;)

No heat in oven

the element may be open circuit, test it by a continuity test. the actual element is inside the metal outer surrounded by a ceramic compound -you will not be able to see any breaks hence the electrical test.
