Dvd player and tv are not compatible?

My son has the pirates of the caribbean tv, so we got the matching dvd player to go with it. The tv does not have(at least I have not been able to locate, and the instruction manual is no help either) a video/tv selection, not on the remote it came with either. So is there anyway that the dvd player can be used with this tv? Thanks a million.

SOURCE: My son has the pirates

is there a video and audio input jack on the tv ? if it does then you should be able to switch it to video input on the tv
but if not then does the dvd player have the coax antenna output? if so you can use that to connect to the tv coax antenna input to watch the dvd player on channel 3 on the tv

The laser lens is out of place. Try using a q tip and gently pressing on the lens to see if it moves back in place.

Connecting DVD player to TV

I'm not sure how much you know about the cables, I know I don't know anything about the specific TV and DVD player you have, but if the chords are AV cables (most likely) then they're most likely color coded, but not all TV connectors are. The audio part of the cables are white, and the video part of the cables are yellow. Other than that the only suggestion I have is making sure the TV is on an "imput", "video", or "game" channel (it's not one of the normal channels, and just about every TV has a different name for it). I don't know if any of that helps, so let me know, and if there is anything else I can do to help, I will. Also, sorry if any of my information is confusing.
