Setup codes for a sony kv-20fs12

The Sony KV-36HS510 has an Auto Setup function for the channels.

1 Press POWER to turn on the TV.
2 Press TV FUNCTION on the remote control.
3 To continue running Auto Setup, press CH+. To exit Auto Setup,
press CH-.

Auto Setup automatically creates a list of receivable channels. When
finished, the lowest numbered channel is displayed.

To reset the TV to factory settings
1 Press POWER to turn on the TV.
2 Hold down RESET on the remote control.
3 Press TV POWER on the TV. (The TV will turn itself off, then back
on.)
4 Release RESET.

1. AKB circuit (automatic kine bias), the timer/standby indicator blinks for about 30 seconds then goes to the self-diagnosis function. Something is wrong with the video. the blinking is actually an error code. watch the blinking closely and you will see it blink a number of times pause briefly then blink the same number of blinks over and over. If you let me know the number of blinks I can tell you why the set isnt powering up.

First, unplug the tv set for 30 seconds, plug back in and try ti turn on.. Second, If you're NOT still under warranty you should at least open the TV and look for a blown fuse near where the power cable enters the set. A lot of times you can buy replacement fuses at a local electronic or hardware store and they're easy to replace. Check the fuse. If it is blown, it will be obvious and make sure that the set is unplugged before replacing it. If it blows again, or if it is not blown, your problem is probably in the 'X' volt regulator and you will need professional help with the repairs. You can also check the board where the components are mounted and resoled any that look bad. Brief power outages may cause the TV not to turn on. If you are using a surge protector, try connecting the set directly to the wall outlet.
