Canon Pixma MP530 - Want to setup machine & phone properly

I don't know if my original request for help went thru, so I am asking again...sorry about that!
I need help setting up my machine properly so that I can receive calls and faxes automatically. First, I have my machine set at fax/tel auto sw. Second, my land line is hooked up to the machine and when calls come in the phone rings and the call display works. BUT if I don't answer the call, the call will route to the machine and the machine starts to ring (as if it is a fax coming thru) and my voice msg service (which I do subscribe to) does NOT kick in at all. Third, when a fax does come thru, it is my phone and NOT my machine that rings and my call display on my phone will show the number and then the machine prints the fax. The machine does NOT ring at all.
I know the settings are not setup properly, so I need help to get the right settings so that the machine rings when faxes come in, AND the phone rings when it is just calls coming in and the call display works and my voice message service works when I can't asnwer the call. Please help!

Normal 0 Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.

Error 6000 actually a line feed error, with the problem originating from the timing disk film or the printer's logic board.
To solve this problem:

Check the timing disk film or Check the feed roller if is there any foreign body, remove it softly
Timing disk film is located at the left side of the printer, look at the picture given below to identify it.

If you didn't get it and have confusion to solve it yourself then go to Canon authorized service facility for repair. You can also get support by Canon by phone, at 1-800-OK-CANON (1-800-652-2666)

Check ink canon mp530

Hi! You may need to run HEAD CLEANING first before the ink goes the ink well. Try this and it may work. Hope this helps and good luck!

Printer service error 6502

Normal 0 Could have a corrupt driver.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and when the CD software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.

Lift both sites under top cover (half of the machine). It should open fairly easy. If not refer to user manual.

Canon PIXMA 530 grinds away

I had a persistant grinding noise about 30 seconds after the printer finished printing. It's been going on about 2 months. I did one thing which seemed to work. So try opening the cover on the back of the machine by lifting upward on the gray lever in the middle of the back of the machine. Leave this cover open during and after printing. The grinding noise went away.

Pixma MP530 Fax Problems

I am having a similar problem. You do have to connect your phone to the jack in the machine in the "Phone" jack slot, as well as have another line out to the jack in the wall in the "L" slot. That is all I know. I am having problems with my voicemail. Either I can received voicemail, and no faxes, or faxes, and no voicemail (fax picks up at specified number of rings). It is EXTREMELY frustrating. The machine is *supposed* to be able to discern between phone calls and faxes..and that is not happening.

Have you come across a solution? Aghhhhh!
