connect the ethernet jack with cable to your router
then see the magic of Plug and play.
load the wifi driver now.
my guess you upgraded or down graded the OS
and now the wifi driver is dead.
it was not day one new,dead.
or way 2,
go acer.com support. and get the driver there and load it.
yes on PC that works, then copy to usb stick
and move it to the dead wifi pc and load that.

Hi, You cannot connect across wireless protocols. In other words to connect to 802.11 n you need an "n" adapter.
Now, the router should be backward compatible & provide wireless g/b but you may find that when you search for networks it will be listed as a seperate network name (from the same router)
Try searching for this other network. Your router documentation should advise you of its default name & any set up process
