First, you'll need to reset the router, this is typically done via a tiny reset button located on the back of the router (you'll need a paper clip to press it). After that, changing the password requires you to know how to access the router options. This is different from brand to brand, but typically by simply going onto Google and searching for your modem's address (might be an IP address or actual address, like linksusrouter). Then just go into the settings, find the "change password option" and viola.

Change Password

you will have to reset it. there is a small inverted reset button, hold it in for 30 seconds and it will reset to factory default. There will be a factory default user and password you will need to use at that point.

I need to reset the password on my linksys Wireless GBroadband router WRT 54G without ruining my wireless set up in my house!

Use an Ethernet cable to connect your computer directly to the router.
Access the web-server "inside" the router.
Login to the router, with the current ID/password.
View the wireless settings:
* SSID
* encryption-level ('WPA' or better, please)
* network password

and change it, if you need to.

I want to change my router password

You can open a browser and put 192.168.1.1 on the address bar, that should open the Linksys user interface page, you would be asked for the current username and password to access the settings and get to where you can change the password. If you don't know what the current username and password is, you can hard reset the router by pushing the reset button on the back of the router for 10-15 seconds. After that you can try to access the Linksys user interface, login by leaving the username blank and the password is "admin"

I have belkin F5D7230-4. i forgot my password. how do i get or change my password

You'll have to reset the router by pressing the reset button in the back for about 10 seconds. Once that is done, you'll have to go into the router settings to setup your password and security.

How to change password on router

If you know the current password, use your computer's web-browser to access the built-in web-server "inside" the router, and change the password.

If you don't know the current password, straighten a Norwegian paper-clip, and insert the end into the small hole in the back of the router. This will "reset" the router to the "factory" settings, including the default password. Then, as above, login and set a password.

I wana know if i can reset my router password without restarting the router to factory settings

Yes, If you know the routers' administration password, you can log in to the administration settings and change the password. If you are asking if you can change it without knowing the admin password, not likely.

Change of current belkin N150 password.

admin usually gets u into the router for access WITHOUT a password. Set a new password or resetup your network with the disk that comes with your router.

Good Luck,

My wireless is set on unsecured how do i change it to secured

Your wireless router should have come with software, which allows you to set a password on it. Install the software on your PC. Then run it. It should discover the router. You log in with

username: admin
password: admin

then you should be able to set the password.

Another way into the admin interface, is to type the IP address in your Internet browser if you know it (often 192.168.1.1)

I want to secure my DL-524 but I keep getting blocked from admin management

Maybe someone took the ownership of the router by changeing the password.
If it's not letting you in with the default
username: admin
Password: admin

or
Username admin
Password: (no password at all)

Than you shold do a manual reset on the router, just grab a pen and there's a reset button on the back of the router, push it and it sets it back to factory defaults, than you should be able to log in with the router's default password and do the security.
