After starting the send/receive program (not using Exchange, happens both working online & offline), Outlook 2007 sends & receives over 800 times and hogs cpu resources.

Found same solution on Tech Republic but it has worked and saved me a great deal of time and frustration.

I can't receive my mail.

Hello,

What type of server that your e-mail account works with?
If you are using POP3 or IMAP account, please configure Incoming mail server.
You should try the given below solution to resolve the occurred issue:

Sol 1:
Open "Microsoft Outlook" >> Click on "File" tab >> "Account Settings" >> "Account Settings", locate your account and click on change.... then click on "More Settings" to configure Incoming mail server.

If you are using Microsoft Exchange account, check if you use cached exchange mode. If not, enable it. Click on "File" tab >> "Account Settings" >> "Account Settings" locate your exchange account and click on "change...."
Under server settings, check Use cached exchange mode.

You can check another setting to help resolve being able to send but not receive e-mail messages.

You can set up Microsoft Outlook to check for new e-mail messages at intervals of one minute to 1,440 minutes (one day).

On the "Send/Receive" menu, point to "Send/Receive Groups", and then click on "Define Send/Receive Groups".

Select the group that contains the e-mail account that you want to regularly check for messages.

Under Setting for group "group name", select the Schedule an automatic send/receive every x minutes check box.
Enter a number from 1 to 1440 in the minute's box.

Microsoft Activesync not working properly

Hi,

Have you tried synchronizing it to a new outlook profile?
tip

Duplicate emails in Outlook Express?

When Outlook Express is configured for POP3 mail access it uses a file called pop3uidl.dbx to keep track of which message have been downloaded so that it can download only new messages. Sometimes this file becomes corrupted which results in the same messages getting downloaded again. So we will need a different copy of this file. Please do the following to recreate it:

- In Outlook Express click on Tools and Options.
- Click on maintenance tab.
- Click on Store folder button.
- It will open a small window with a path to the store folder.
- Copy the whole path.
- Click on start and Run.
- Click inside the run box and press Ctrl+V, it will paste the whole path we copied.
- Click on OK. It will open the store location.
- Close Outlook Express.
- In the folder that was opened, locate the pop3uidl.dbx file and right click on it and select rename.
- Rename that to pop3uidlold.dbx.
- Open Outlook Express and you will no longer receive any duplicate messages.

If you are using IMAP account, that can happen if your IMAP account is the default mail account and OE is configured to both open directly to the Inbox (which downloads headers automatically) and check for new messages when starting (which also downloads headers automatically). To stop the duplicates, simply choose one option or the other, but not both:

In Outlook Express click Tools > Options, then
1. Remove the check mark for When starting, go directly to my ‘Inbox’ folder
OR
2. Remove the check mark for Send and receive messages at startup.

If you already have duplicates showing, click Tools > Synchronize Account or Synchronize All.

Just bought Zire 31 and won't hot sync Outlook Calendar, Contacts, Notes with the following log:

Generally this error means that HotSync manager (via the 4 Outlook conduits) is having a hard time connecting to your Outlook or, in some cases, specifically to your Oultook profile.

Hot sync does not work

"PLEASE SET SYNCHRONIZATION OPTION ENABLE SYNC WHEN OUTLOOK IN UI IN ORDER TO SYNC IN OFFLINE MODE" Just go to your Hotsync Manager icon Click Custom Click each Outlook conduit ex. Calendar Outlook Click Change Click Settings Check the Box that says Enable Synchronization when Outlook is Offline Then do same process for Contacts, Tasks and Memos. Wherever your updated data is..make sure you set Action of conduit to example: Desktop Overwrites HH (if your OUTLOOK has the most updated data.) Hope that resolves your problem.
